Yeh, that doesn't really seem possible. The plan must be to now trickle one or two of these out at a price slightly lower than listed, with the expectation that someone will do their research and find the "sold" ad, and use it as a price guage.
Has anyone texted about the pinballs up for auction ad? Website doesn't exist he listed and is in Jasper?

I'm curious about this too, but given the titles listed, I would be a bit skeptical.
I got a response. He gave a new website which doesn't exist as well. When I found his facebook page it references pinball amusements in Michigan with great sales on mb, mm, cv and ij. Definitely fishy. No point wasting more time.

Pics of the Star Trip I'm selling
New rubbers, fully cleaned (Treasure Cove kit), plastics and posts also cleaned. All insert sockets have been modded to function correctly (the typical "Stern" way). Everything is working as it should, however the left sling is missing the kicker arm -- or at least, the upper half of it (it broke off). A new kicker arm will have to be installed, however the game still plays fine (but obviously the left sling is missing its "punch"). Glass top is in great shape, and it comes with the coin box and service manual.
$550 -- can help with shipping.

Hi all
I have a very nice Whitewater up for trade. No broken ramps, plastics or boulders. Very little wear (some tiny key line wear around a few raft inserts, very small wear at mine kick out). Some LED's, cliffy protectors at the VUK drop and boulders, Mantis protectors at ramp entrances. Original topper in great shape. Main cabinet is very nice with no fade, back box has some knicks and dings. Plays 100%. More detailed pics can be taken for serious inquiries. Available for testing at Sports on Tap in Saskatoon. Just looking for a trade for now, plus/minus cash as determined. A few members here have played this game and can vouch for it. Not willing to ship just yet, but willing to drive some distance for the right deal. References available upon request. PM any questions.

After wasting 3 hours again yesterday looking at over priced broken junk, I wasted another 10 mins making the ad. Looks like I'll be buying a new game since the prices are basically the same and they actually work. Besides Scott's game, which was just too much for my kids to deal with, Ive never walked away from so many deals in the last few weeks.
Ahh, I just reread it and I can't believe I didn't realize it was a joke.
Actually, I think most of those lines were taken from existing ads in the past? I guess it's sad that can pass for what people expect to see in Kijiji ads these days.
It was just ridiculous enough, that one could believe it might actually be real. Well done.
