Is it bad I have a list of games Id like soon?
Ugh.
Quoted from SuperPinball:It's only bad if you don't have cash, space or both.
I have one of those two options.
Gottlieb Premier WATERWORLD 1995 DMD
Highly underated, low production (1500 units) DMD.
This pinball is in very nice shape and fully working - plug and play ready.
Waterworld offers a deep and balanced ruleset with many modes and challenging multiball play.
Includes custom additions:
- LED lighting
- Cliffy scoop protector
- Blue T-Molding
Pick up in Montreal or possible delivery to Ontario.
I just picked up a WOZ 75th at the Pintastic Show from Jack. $9k US + $1k CDN to broker it through & tax. I picked it up myself, & had my brokerage done in advance. So $12k+ CDN pinball machine.
Recently I have talked with a number of Canadian Stern Dealers. We are all reeling from Stern price increases internationally & poor CDN dollar. That & some of us are getting a little annoyed with Cineplex-Starburst as our Canadian distributor. Personally my purchases have decreased 95% over the last few years as a dealer. Also doing free warranty service, & the hassle of paying to return defective parts. I have talked with Gary Stern numerous times over the years about it, & have given up. Maybe Heighway Pinball will be a wakeup call, along with other manufacturers towards pinball sales I Canada.

Sold two of my pins tonight. I am looking for a nice Creature from the black lagoon pinball. Sorry YKpinball you gave me a great deal on yours and I was on holidays and had no room at the time (my wife would kill me if I had more than 6) Anyone selling one?
Thanks for the help.

I bought 3 NIB pins from Starburst last year and they were very good to deal with. I have no complaints! But that's from a customer perspective of course.
I'm sure NIB sales have tanked since November/December when the dollar started it's nosedive. A game like ST is probably $1500 more than this same time last year. Great if you bought last year, but sucks if you want to buy this year.
Rob
Prices are what they are, as is the dollar, but Starburst, at least Adam I deal with there, has been good for me and my friends, and the service and parts department is easy to deal with, and calls back.

On the 'con' side, this would be my first pin and in addition to hating Kevin Costner, I see Waterworld doesn't crack the Top 100. I also vowed to never buy before playing, but I would need you to deliver to Ajax.
On the 'pro', I'm interested, and you say it's underrated. If this was CL or eBay, I would think that's merely a sales pitch.
Shall we switch to pm?

was his name Joe Dirt ?
Waterworld looks like it is being flipped? Quite a price increase!

Quoted from Pinball-Pat:Anyone know anything about the 5k wozle and lotr on kijiji?
Scam city?
I think so. I've responded to similar ads on AC/DC and others...no answer. At least they could do me the courtesy of walking me through the scam.

I tried to buy this yesterday. I was asked to wait a few days and bowed out. Looks like the MMR will be my first machine (if it ever shows up).
So a quick sum...striking out in my efforts to buy a machine in Canada!

Yup, that's the one.
If the new owner wants to flip it on eBay, more power to him.
I'm not interested in dealing with that mess

It's still a dick move. He even cut n' pasted the info from your post into the eBay listing.

I'm guessing most watchers on that are Pinsiders...but if it sells for anywhere near asking my time in this hobby will be short-lived. What's up with the pins that just sit on eBay and cycle through listing after listing with the same price? Do suckers ultimately show up?
I've seen one contender on eBay but I blew it. TSPP, one of the few I've seen at pure auction. Sold in the $2,000s, if I recall. Not looking to steal one, but I can't/won't pay $8K on average...and AC/DC and WoZ are on the list!

Whatcha looking for?
I can make that change happen VERY quickly.

I don't really see it that way.
We agreed on a price that we were both comfortable with and he bought the game.
Whatever he does with it after is his business, I couldn't care less.
If he can flip it on eBay, good for him.

That's the best way to be. Sure it sucks for the hobby but it's like that with EVERY other one as well, not just pinball. I've had at least 3-4 deals now either with pinball or arcade stuff where I've known the other person was going to be getting rid of what they got from me (either in trade or partial sale or whatever). They've all asked my permission to sell as if I would be upset with whatever they did with it. I guess I respect the fact that they don't want to upset me but I always say the same thing. As soon as the deal is done it's done and the item is yours. Whether you decide to drive to the landfill and drop it off or sell it to my next door neighbor for 5x what you bought it from me for, it's yours.
Keeping with the topic of the thread I'm looking for a pro pool (also considering Hot shot, big shot, sure shot, bank shot) in southern ontario.

What about break shot?
Just threw my BSD up for possible trade.

Thanks Meegis. I've been PM'd as well but I'll respond here so everybody knows my deal.
Recently deposited on MMR, and it pretty much tapped my near-term budget. Sometimes have regrets when I think about what else could roll into $8K, but WW suited me as an incremental with the low price point. I'm in a rental in Canada looking for a pin as entertainment until I leave around year-end.
If I buy anything, when I leave I'll either flip or take with. Take with includes: TSPP, AC/DC Premium, Fish Tales, WoZ, ST Pro or anything else I learn might be good or a flipper I decide to keep.
The challenges are I'm not interested to plow a big % of the purchase price into shipping, and I'm not gonna go big (>$3K) on the heels of MMR, until I get/play (or cancel) MMR and confirm the addiction...and the strength of my marriage.

Fair enough. I'm just disappointed with the fact that it went up on eBay afterwards. eBay just sickens me.
