I can afford it, but I don't like severed heads.
No Rudy, no Red & Ted.
I have been staying away from comic pins. So far.

X-Men pro looks value-packed assuming the code is fun and the shots are good. Not much missing vs the Prem/LE. Very tempting.

I'm feeling the same way
The flippers are SO offset that I think I'd like to play one first before committing. It's such a different layout.

yeah the 3rd flipper is eating a lot of that real estate, so not sure how this is going to affect overall play, maybe longer ball times etc, it is very different. Need to play before buying.

It's ambitious design, but it could bother some. It would annoy the heck out of me if it turns out to be just a big left drain magnet or the ball was constantly going in there. The area above the pop is open so I assume the ball could just enter there at any time.

Hey! I resemble that remark!
Really intrigued by xmen so if I pull the trigger, something needs to go. If anyone is interested in an Elton John CE let me know. Still loving the game and not sure for certain if I’ll move it out yet, PM me though so I can gauge if there is any interest.
Added 31 days ago:Thanks for all that reached out. Gonna hold onto this so I don’t regret moving and may just snag an xmen pro over the premium.
Added 29 days ago:New update, gosh darn it, xmen premium does look so cool. So gotta move Elton out. Was thinking 17K CDN. PM me if any interest.
Added 29 days ago:Final update, game is sold.
Quoted from Canuck_pinhead:I love the theme with Uncanny X-men from my childhood.
Could this be the first NIB purchase?
That wonky left flipper intrigues as well.

Does anyone in this group have a special insurance policy for their home pinball collection? The person I spoke to at Meloche Monnex (home insurance) had never heard of insuring pinball machines and suggested sending out one of their adjusters/inspectors LOL. After I suggested that was a dumb idea, she said just send all the receipts.

I went through 9 months of hell with Meloche Monnex (1986 Fiero that got rear ended by a punk in a truck on his phone that didn't notice a mile long traffic jam in front of him). They will hassle you if you don't have some sort of appraisal.

I just have a rider on my home insurance. No different than owning any other valuable. Tools, jewelry, collectables, AV equipment, sporting equipment. All these things is usually require a rider. My rider raised our home insurance by about $26/yr. My gfs jewelry costs us more.
Quoted from violinfather:Anyone in the Edmonton region have a Metallica premium that they are interested in selling?
Unless the original is what your after, I would wait 2 months and see what the new stern one is going to look like. Spike 3, new assets etc…

As I understand it, my pinballs are covered under the contents portion of my house insurance.
Quoted from Hammerhead:As I understand it, my pinballs are covered under the contents portion of my house insurance.
Just pray you never have a claim or you will then see what they truly cover.
I asked a broker about this, they are covered under contents insurance, so just make sure the cap of your contents insurance is enough to cover everything you own. My content insurance at the time was 100k .
In the event of loss , You would have to substantiate your claim value so receipts photos etc help.
If you have a super rare game that’s over retail of current games that would be an antique and would have to be handled a bit different.
Most contents insurance also has a cap on individual items. That’s why you need to schedule expensive items like jewelry, artwork bicycles etc.
Since it’s all the rage my foo fighters pro is also for sale. Stock plus a shaker, 500 odd plays.
9500 obo local only please.

Throw it up on marketplace, there were a few Island guys wanting mine, but not comfortable with shipping. Maybe they'll make the drive for yours
As with any home contents insurance if you can still buy the game new in the box then your home insurance will cover the cost to replace it with a new one. Policies are almost always replacement cost.
If you can’t buy it new in the box standard depreciation will apply. That is a declining amount based on the new cost minus so much depending how old it is.
To avoid depreciation and get the value of something old that is worth more $$ you must “schedule” the item on your policy. Same as coins or baseball cards or anything else you can’t buy brand new.
And the cost IS NOT going to be $25/year for real coverage. It is much more than that.
If you have games that you can not buy new and they are not scheduled on your policy you are guaranteed a fight with the insurance company. It doesn’t matter what you paid for it. You can purchase an Indiana Jones Pinball Adventure for $15,000 and be offered $5000 from your insurance company when it is stolen.
Read the fine print and don’t listen to what the insurance reps say (especially at TD Miloche Monex). What they say means nothing. It all comes down to the contract when claims are settled.

Depends on the distance traveled.

When I trade games where I think mine may be worth a bit more then I make the other party do all the leg work. For example I traded CCrLE for SDCE. At the time CCr was worth a little bit more. Guy was 400-500 miles away. He did all the transport and I called it even. It's whatever value you put on your time, gas, and effort. For me this has value.
Trades I've done where games were of even value I've always done half the transport. Meet half way.
