Too many projects on the go...need to move a "like new" Full Throttle...works awesome!
My brother-in-law is looking for his first pin and is interested in a Jurassic Park if anyone will have a reasonable priced one out there, message me
Anyone else see the post going around Facebook about stern releasing Bkack Knight 3000?
Is this legit?
If so it best not be regurgitated like the Beatles. If they totally reinvent it the theme is cool. But that game just doesn't hold up in today's world.

Man, I really miss mine.
These is an Addams Family for sale in Toronto for 8k. Seems good at first glance. He even has the topper. Seller doesnt seem to know anything about pinball though. His negative comment about the game is that it has a ball stuck on the playfield and he doesn't know how to remove the glass. I just messaged him so he can at least play it properly. It won't have been cleaned or waxed in several years. I'd go take a look at it but I just committed to another purchase.
Adams Family pinball machine,

Also, the above post is meant as a nice pin spotted for everyone to look at and maybe bring home to their collection. I'll be bummed if I hear people started low balling this guy.
OR.....its a scam lol
it just seems wierd that he does not know how to take the glass off yet he has 2 machines this and a mousin around
Quoted from luch:it just seems wierd that he does not know how to take the glass off yet he has 2 machines this and a mousin around
Hard to believe, but I've known 'collectors' who don't know how to remove the glass...

I asked about a seller out west last week and a lot of you guys gave him the thumbs up. I'm ready to go through with my first long distance purchase. Any advice on how best to protect myself during this transaction is appreciated.
I told him I will send $1,000 Monday and the rest when he is ready to ship (he is restoring it).
Get lots of photos along the process. Get videos of the game working before shipping. Rob will pack it well but get photos of the game packed up. Shipping insurance is a bit of risk/reward . Generally for newer games I would consider, older I’m not too sure. Rob will not run away with your money, we know where he lives
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Any advice on how best to protect myself during this transaction is appreciated
You have done your due diligence, except for you only checked local, you can broaden the check and ask for a copy of his drivers licence and you can check out where he works.
You could also ask for complete disclosure on the game, complete pictures history and info.
You can go through an escrow service or just a straight bank to bank transfer. For me I prefer a straight electronic transfer.
As the seller these are all the things that I advised you to do from the get go...
As discussed I said no deposit is required. I like my transactions to be as painless as possible for both parties.
However I respect your efforts to ensure your money is not my only goal. This game has come a long way from what it was and I'm sure it will provide you years of joy.
As far as it goes I tend to collect odd low number games and this could have a happy life here with my others.
As stated several times no pressure ...if you want this game I offered you first right to purchase.
I do understand your apprehensions as Ive done several purchases from out of province and out of country and it is stressful
So I understand your concern
Quoted from Boat:Rob will not run away with your money, we know where he lives
Lol
And your always welcome here !
Im in for sure Rob. I've given up on finding one locally. It's a quirky theme with a lower run. Im just doing the same anyone would do when sending all of their pinball savings across the country. Just nervous. Nothing personal
Just be aware most shipping company's wont insure used games and if it gets damaged it's your problem.
Happened with a used acdc bible and it got destroyed. Company would only pay something like a couple dollars a lb. Didnt care it was worth over 10k

Um, that was mine
Buyer could have easily been covered under his home insurance policy.
Don't know if he ever got anything from it either.
Waited almost a year before someone tried to get him some money for it.
2.50 a pound was all they would give you. Used goods.
If you have ever purchased a game from someone in the US, what is the best method to make a deposit from a Canadian bank? I was trying to make the deposit through Paypal, but it takes over a week to move the funds from your bank account to your Paypal account. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Can't you just make a deposit via credit card, or pay from your bank account?
I can send money via paypal pretty quick, NEVER a week long process... just click some buttons.

If you go to your bank you can make a bank transfer directly to a US bank account (for a fee). I recall it taking 2-3 days. I sent the seller pics of the docs from my phone to show I was serious and had done what I said. However, keep in mind that this is 100% safe from the sellers perspective which means you cannot get your money back. This is good in the way that a seller can proceed without worries but not so good if seller doesn't send you the machine
as YEG pin quickly approaches is anybody bringing something for sale? please pm me with what you may want to part with. looking for 87-89 Williams Bally games.

I'm not sure of the best process but PP can be nightmare and buyers can screw you on a purchase. At least I've seen this on small dollar purchases outside of pins. So usually sellers are hesitant on PP.
Any of you Calgary gents know this seller? https://www.kijiji.ca/v-toys-games/calgary/2008-stern-batman-dark-night-pinball-machine/1417449914?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Make sure you check your home insurance policy's before you ship, I called and they would not cover a used pinball machine being transported.

I can speak to condition on this game it is definitely Collector Quality condition 9.5/10
Quoted from smokedog:Where are you located?
He's in Calgary and easy to deal with.
My home insurance does. But if I make a claim it’s a $1000 deductible and my rates would likely go up. I’d consider making a claim if an expensive pin went missing or the damage was at a certain threshold

I’ve done a deal with him, great guy, and keeps his pins in amazing condition. I would recommend dealing with him without hesitation!

Check out the Hey Canada...what's up thread. Maybe try there.
Fallsview Arcade. That whole strip up and down Fallsview Blvd. has machines hidden here and there. Start at one end and walk inside through the hotels etc. The one by the Best Western isn’t great but they get much better as you go towards the casino area. The one at the Sheraton (Fun Zone I think) has 2 levels- check out the downstairs- has a nice bubble hockey too. Only 3 pins at the very back of the first level at the Sheraton that I recall. Keep walking to the back- there are several rooms with a few games in each, although that may have changed.
Enjoy!!
