I have a really nice Stern Elvis and a pretty decent Roadshow and I'm pondering a change up. Roadshow could use a new Eddy Sensor for the bulldozer, other than that, works great.

Not sure if I'd be looking to sell or trade at this point but I'd be open to suggestions if anyone is interested. Would be looking for new dmd's.

#8003 6 years ago

No sure why it showed up like that?

Went to check out that original Medieval Madness that is up for $17,000 or whatever crazy price it is. Game is nice, likely HUO. Some raised inserts, a few minor marks on the cab. All in all a very nice machine. But that price... WTF!

Shit, if Americans would come to Canada, pinballs are cheap here!!! it would be duty tax free as well to take back because our government doesn't care!

#8012 6 years ago

They are actually not too badly priced in Michigan. Just has to be worth the drive, exchange and taxes.

Stupid question...wasn’t this $8000 usd new so like $9800 cad at current exchange?

$8500 USD.

#8015 6 years ago

Hell of a deal then!

#8016 6 years ago

Pretty sure LE started at $8000 and when they sold out they just changed it to standard editions at the same price...any way, just thought maybe I was missing something.

#8017 6 years ago

Maybe but also in Ontario the landed price is higher due to tax so may not be prudent for an Albertan to shop there if other options exist.

#8018 6 years ago

Taxes are 13% if you buy locally here in Ontario

When MMR finally came out the dollar had swung significantly from the time preorders were made. Retailers are purchasing in USD and the customers had to eat the higher exchange or walk at the time of delivery. I know a guy who had to pay much more than he originally expected which was a killer at the time. Def not bought for less than 10K, more like this asking price. Current US exchange won’t devalue that game for those owners. And if you go down to import one you’ll spend that by the time you exchange money, pay taxes at border (for us non Albertans) and of course the cost of the road trip.

#8020 6 years ago

Colour upgrade was 200 extra so 8200usd plus any taxes and shipping.

A nib standard with colour upgrade would be 8400usd plus tax and shipping.

Some people might really want the le I guess but not that much difference.

I might sell mine later this year so I’m curious on what this goes for. Imo I’d figure around 11k cdn be fair.

True. Dollar had gone up by the time mmr shipped. Some of us myself included paid in full early in anticipation of this. If I remember correctly I saved about 2k cdn by paying early. Same difference to distributors if you pay in usd.

Um, yeah it kinda does... I agree with the above, more like $11k, but hey, its all about what someone will pay.

That is %100 what controls the value of all games in canada.
A used MMR Le is around 8k usd. so with exchange costs around 10k canadian. %13 percent tax if you claim the whole amount then your in 11300... plus your gas if you want to include that. i don't as i enjoy road trips.

I guess what I meant to say is they prob wont sell for that. They will value the game higher which is not to say it is worth the higher amount. It will only ever be worth what someone is willing to pay of course.

Selling my STTNG to help pay for a new game (sorry, no trades).

Actually you are both right. If a game is still currently available NIB then you need to adjust it to the current USD to reflect that. If a game is not available and the original owner paid when the dollar was shit, then technically his landed price becomes street price. There are other factors of course like competition with other titles, overall value , collectibilty and of course what a buyer is willing to pay.

#8027 6 years ago

Most times if it is available NIB you have to knock off $500 - $1000 from what you paid to entice someone to buy it used, why would someone want to buy a used game if they can just buy one new for the same or better price. I find even with mods, powder, etc it doesn't really add a whole lot of value to a machine as those things are really unique tastes to the individual.

True, I should have added that in addition to adjusting to current USD expect to also knock $500-$1000 off. It bugs me too when people try to sell their games that are still available from retailers for full price plus full taxes plus full set up and delivery fee .As long as we are all clear that you can't go back and say that an LE that is no longer available NIB that had an MSRP of say $6000US back in 2011 should be priced at $7400CAN. If that was the case, a Tron LE would be going for that today.

I remember the LE at $8495. Had to check and here's what I found afaik. The preorder the price was $7995 for the LE, but when the production started (and both versions were still available) the standard edition became $7995 and the LE became $8495 USD. They've changed some pages at PPS but the table part way down this page shows these prices too.
http://www.planetarypinball.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PPS-MMR-STD

I had forgot about the $7995 preorder price, but I don't preorder.

The early serial numbers would likely have been purchased at the lower price, the higher serial numbers at the higher price. The MMR production run had some issues in some earlier units that were fixed by the time the later production #'s came out.

Just watched the sales pitch video, want one even more now

I think it's a great pin and the whole package; I'd be happy with it in a two pin collection.

The Tina Fey callouts are easy to identify and fun pop culture.

It helps that I have no memory of playing it at all back in the day.

Cheers

Not a pin, but for sale here in Nipawin, anyone interested, I saw it on buy and sell page today. Someone want it for a game room? Frig , forgot no pics on this page.

It’s a Mega Touch Max “Ruby Edition”

Looking to move my Metallica Premium. Monsters edition, older run with wooden backbox. Dirty Donny edition with signed backglass and painted snake, hammer and sparky. Comes with Flipper Fidelity speakers, shaker, creeping death art blades, lighted speaker kit, various lighting mods and Color DMD.

HUO, original owner, low plays, very clean. Prefer to trade for Game of Thrones Premium, but will consider sale. Looking for $9k without Color DMD, $9.5k with. Will only deal locally for trades, but could ship for sale if buyer pays/arranges.

Metallica still available. Wouldn't be if I could get my wife to agree to take out a wall and increase my space for pins. Who really needs a guest bedroom anyway?

#8040 6 years ago

Don't sell Metallica, you will regret it...

Anybody got a Road Show for sale by any chance?

There is one in Ontario, he is asking $4,500. Do you have anything you want to trade?

#8047 6 years ago

So, what do people think an original ACDC Luci is worth? 1 owner, HUO of course. Shaker, colordmd, cliffy protectors.

And what are new Stern premium games selling for now? What about BM66 premium? Has anyone heard about recent prices because I have no idea where they are at.
