I'm working through some final issues with my Genco Blondie... it's finally playable, and *almost* playing right. In trying to work through those last few little things, I managed to snap the shoulder bolt that holds the gear on the stepper. It's .185 diameter, and the shoulder is almost exactly 1/2 inch in length. The threaded part can be cut to length, and uses a #6 machine screw.

Anyone have one from a parts machine that they would be willing to part with?

In the interim, I machined a nylon insert and used a machine screw to hold it in. The gear is a little looser on the stepper than it should be, but it does seem to be working well enough for me to continue work on the machine.

Giving this one another bump. Game is up and running, and for the most part working great. Still looking for this bolt though... my temporary fix leads to some slightly flaky scoring.

Did you call the usual suppliers like Pinball Resource? http://www.pbresource.com
Failing that, any competent local machine shop should be able to make you a custom bolt.

I've already been down that road with PBR. They don't have anything.

I spoke to a local machine shop-- their setup charge to make it is more than I have invested in the whole project (in other words, they weren't interested in my rinky dink project).

I have some early steppers but I believe they are Keeney parts. I'll have to dig them out to compare.

Thanks. Already been down that road, and have exhaustively searched every online source I can think of too.

I'm marking this post as "resolved". After bumping the thread, I received a PM from a very kind pinsider who sent me the exact shoulder bolt I needed from his parts stash! This hobby really does have some amazing people in it!

Shoot just saw this. Totally forgot to check my barn. I'm glad you found the part you were looking for.
