Yeah, pics definitely not good enough to tell if that was a deal. You really just can't tell from pics alone.
It's rare to find a good deal on a pin on e bay, but it does happen.
I picked up a nice Monopoly a year ago on EBay for $1700 just 45 miles down the road from me. I earned e bay bucks on top of that which made it even cheaper.

I think a working beater for $1K or less is a good price. CPR plastics and playfield coming out soon. Cabinet decals, translite, and ramps readily available. If you can get a beater for that price or less with solid electronics, you can have an awesome WW for ~$2K if you can do the work....
