With the rising cost of both health care and the cost of child raising, was wondering if anyone has tried to take matters into their own hands. I mean, how difficult can it be right?

I do tonsillectomies on others. If I slip and go in/down too far. Then it's a vasectomy too.

No joke I almost did in 7th grade when the sled I was on skidded off the path into a big pile of sticks. One of them went right through my pants, about an inch in the right direction. I actually got torn open and stitched up, and it was all good. Cool scar to show the ladies when I was younger!

No need -- standing too close to the X-ray machine at work takes care of that.

Joke's on me; I'm sure Google is mining my answers and targeting some advertising my way as we speak:

Worst job questionnaire ever

I get one every 4-6 weeks

Thinking about it.
I want to practice first, so looking for volunteers.

Yes

My co-workers husband had a co-worker that caught his sack on a fence. Tore it wide open and his balls were just hanging out of his sack. Drs were able to save his balls, not sure if the fence caused a vas or not, but you could always try that

Was the fence okay?

I circumcised myself....does that count?

I prefer the blunt rock method of self-vasectomizing. I’ve never been better. Or more gentrified. Thank you.

It's as easy as changing your own oil!

I passed out after doing one side so Im waiting a few days to do the other one.

Only if it had not been done before.

Once you can get past the burning smell it’s doable

#23 1 year ago

You have be careful if you attempt this. One little slip and you'll need an addadictomy.

#24 1 year ago

I’m about to give it a go. 2 kids within 23 months has worn me out.

#25 1 year ago

it's funny, recently our local clinic put up a billboard off the interstate that says 'Cheaper Than Child Support - Vasectomies $600'. Dark, very dark.

#26 1 year ago

Some states are super aggressive on child support. Michigan, if the woman says a guy is the father they start pulling the support before they even test the guy. Then the burden is on him to prove he’s not.

#27 1 year ago

My daughter's mom was very reasonable. I said lets come to an arrangement and keep them out of the picture and she agreed.

My buddy Steve got hosed hard by child support services as they compounded interest and came up with other creative ways to suck the life out of him.

With all the stupid shit people do, I’d be surprised if *someone* hasn’t tried this before somewhere.

My dad lost a nut in a motorcycle crash — I was born after the event and may have turned out a bit different than my sibs just lucky it didn’t take out both nuts I guess. Anyway, lots of potential ways to do a self vasectomy I suppose.

Well highvoltage is always eager to learn new skills I wonder if he is up for the Vasectomy Challenge!

I had one done about 15 years ago, hell it barely took 15 minutes. It was a local, so I was awake the whole time. Didn't seem like a big deal. If anyone wants, I'd be happy to give it a shot for free.

Nope, not a Doctor. If I were I am not sure I would seek a path that would lead to fiddling with different sacks all day. I do appreciate their work.

The video of you cutting the lock off the shipping container with a target saw clearly demonstrates that you are qualified for this.

Where is that video? I will need to look for it. I am sure it’s in one of Pete’s threads.

I heard there's a place called The Friend Zone where no vasectomy is necessary.

I’ve heard of this place. Never been there myself.

I hear it’s full of unicorns and blue ball-like folk.

Had mine done at Kaiser. Was scared as hell. The doctor asked me if it was ok if 3 nursing students watched. Stupidly, I said yes. They walked in, stood against a wall and were all hott! Because I was so nervous, I probably had major shrinkage. Embarrassing.

Should’ve offered them a hands on experience. No better way to learn, right? Cue the porn music....

I gave my doctor flowers afterwords

I went to a three fingered Doctor in Kentucky. He gave me an anesthetic shot on one side and rooted around for about 20 minutes or so and couldn't reach the second tube. He then cut the other side with out any anesthetic and I hit the roof. I don't recommend the self surgery but it would be better than the three fingered Doctor. Just saying ... . .
