Just picked up a fresh pressing of Metallica’s Black album. I forgot how great virgin heavy vinyl sounds. Probably haven’t slit the wrap on a new lp in 30 yrs. Digital sounds clean but sterile compared to a good vinyl version. Much more depth and the subtle sound nuances weren’t “remastered” i.e. deleted. Playing on a 20yr old direct drive Stanton, not the best, but pretty darn good. I gotta move it downstairs to my game room so I can play pins while listening to vinyl. Long live vinyl!

My wife got me a console record player for x-mas so now I finally have a proper way to play my records. Before I was using one of those Crowley portable things. I'm not a huge vinyl guy but its fun to collect records for my favorite bands and playing them on a turntable is fun and an 'experience' versus just dialing something up on your phone.

Hello fellow vinyl lovers I too just got me a Kenwood turntable off of let-go for $12. Broke it in with wings Paul McCartney. I have a jukebox but it stopped working on me about 6 months ago so I've been itching to play some vinyl.
