Quoted from pinstor12:

The MMR is shipping without playfield glass.
You don't need it to play.
If it's loud, just turn up the sound.
Since so few will ever be in the wild, you don't need glass for in the home use.
If you're an operator, you probably already have sheets of glass laying around, just put 1 in.
This reduces broken glass issues, makes it easier to access, clean & mod your game.
Since so many people may want an Invisiglass quality glass, why put a standard quality sheet of glass in the game, just to have it removed and be tossed/wasted.
And don't forget how expensive it is for PPS to put playfield glass in 1000 machines.
If you really want glass just buy a sheet on your own, based on the quality of glass you prefer.
This is a fully functioning MMR.

CLASSIC

While I can take or leave the coin mechs, this is certainly a compelling argument.

Yeah, no kidding.

Based on the information provided, we can only "know" that 70 numbers have been reserved. 58 numbers below 150 are omitted from his available list. We can also infer from the "interesting" availability of 888 and 990-994 that 222, 333, 444, 555, 666, 777, and 995-1000 are also taken.

Obviously, there are more numbers between 151 and 887 spoken for as well, but there's no way for us to reasonably guess what those may be with the information provided.

That's at least 7%.

87.6%? How did you come up with that?

Quoted from jalpert:

I don't think his numbers are accurate. He's estimating 87.6% of owners chose a number. If anything, 87.6% didn't.

Sorry, my quotation of your post was meant to pile on... we are in agreement.

Quoted from jalpert:

I didn't, he did. That was just a fancy way of saying that I thought his number were way off. My guess is that between 10% - 20% of MMR owners chose numbers.

Quoted from PPS:

Part of the issue was that of 250 sets of gold, many were rejected in QC, thus reducing the # of gold that got made and reducing the allocations. You can characterize it as misinformation, but it was a lower initial build do to a small dropoff of games due to that.
rick

so, when was the distributor updated about QC parts rejection that made delivery of games promised impossible?

Quoted from Whysnow:

If this was a report card I think we know where the clear A student is and whom will be going to detention.

I this ^were a report card^, I think we know ^who ^would be receiving an F in grammar.
