Quoted from lapean111:

That is just Teekee pissing all over the project like he has from the beginning. Ignore him and move on. Rick will update us when he has an update. Last we heard from him, shipping in October.

I thought MMr was going to be on Sterns line this week? Last 2 weeks of September

Hurry up and wait, but pay now!

Why can't MMr use the same transformer that Stern use?

Quoted from jalpert:

Well... At least we're pretty sure CGC has secured the rights to use the King's likeness on the back glass...

Leave Steve Ritchie out of this

Quoted from jalpert:

The test game I played had an external sub hooked up. It was a vast improvement.

Any pinball with a external sub is a vast improvement, even an original MM..

Quoted from LTG:

Kind of hard to explain.
I help Rick. That's the easiest way to put it.

Quoted from jalpert:

MMR is almost exactly like a HEP restore. HEP sends games out with new cabs, repo playfieds, tons of repo parts. Where do you think all those repo parts come from? His restores are great, the best out there. Besides the boardset in the backbox, there isn't really a whole lot of difference between the two.
Also, I quoted myself because you must of missed it. IF MMR is a hit, HEP, HUO and generally restored MM's will go down lower in value. On the flip side, IF MMR comes out a mess, the HEP, HUO and generally restored MM's will go up in value.
I put my money where my mouth is, I bet $8,000 cash that MMR is a hit. You did too, you still own your MM. I'd wish you luck, but that wouldn't be sincere.

It was never about MM being remade... It is about attitudes like yours that like to stick it to anyone that has an original MM.. I really hope MMr is all you wanted, but that wouldn't be sincere also

Quoted from thedarkknight77:

Great post! Rick is human and in the end we will all forgive him.........except those who are hanging on to over priced future remakes.

Not everybody that has a MM/AFM/MB paid 15k or even 8k for it... over here a MMr comes to over 14k .. no where near what my MM cost. For the price of a MMr I got a MM and a MB .. if anything MMr is overpriced

#2946 9 years ago

$10995 Aus Price of MMr last year (not sure now as our NZ & Aus dollar has dropped) = $11.561 NZ + 15% $1734 + shipping $500-700 = $13795 - $13995
A Stern le is now $13k over here

Quoted from Taxman:

Holy crap are you serious? How can it jump from $8K to $14K. Shipping and exchange rates can't be that much can it?
No way is MM (or MMr) worth $14K. Yes it is a fun game but that's just stupid.

#2947 9 years ago

$8k US = $10387 NZ today... looks like our dollar has gone back up to 0.77 it was 0.74

#2954 9 years ago

Is anyone in the US paying $8k all up total cost? Don't different states have tax + shipping costs?

#2957 9 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Is that in real money or emulated money?

Quoted from jamieflowers:

I didnt think so, after looking at his profile it looks like he has an original....just another person who is pissed that their original took a dive once MMR was announced. If you arent a purchaser or at least a potential purchaser (on the fence) why in the wide blue Fk are you posting on this thread?

In your profile you have a MM.. so why are you posting? lol

#3105 9 years ago
Quoted from jamieflowers:

I dont have a MM, I have MMR on order. That is why I am posting here.

Sorry... My thinking is if its in your collection you have the pin.

#3121 9 years ago
Quoted from jamieflowers:

No they are different platforms. The games are the same. You can play Tekken on the Xbox, PS3/4 or the arcade...just because it runs on a different platform does not make it a different game.

How about playing pinball on Xbox, PS3/4?

#3126 9 years ago
Quoted from jamieflowers:

Not the same thing and you know it...I am pretty sure half the people on this thread are just here to start shit. Two video games are the same no matter which system they are played on (even if there are minor differences, no one claims they are not the same game)

Aww come on.. Different platform, 1 video, 1 mechanical, same game

Its all pinball

Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:

I think you'd be surprised how many people don't care what you or anyone else paid. The only thing that matters is what they cost on the day someone is ready to part with their hard earned $

Sorry that you missed out on the good prices back in the day

#3760 9 years ago
Quoted from Craig:

Please don't rub it in!

Yer, that was a bit rough (edited my post)

But anyone that has been in this hobby for over 10 years knows what I mean

#4050 9 years ago

So in the last 100 posts I now know............
AFM,MB & MM have the same layout & rules
Everyone wants an AFMr for 6k

Black trim MMRLE is first off production line.
Turns out, coin mechs were included and a few special surprises.
The software emulation is insane in the membrane...

Did you get permission to post that pic?
