Quoted from Bigbossfan:At this point, I don't think anything in the future that is said either by PPS/CGC can be taken at face value. I don't know whether to feel bad for Rick as he receives the brunt of the anger with the consistent delays....but since he's the Poster Boy for MMR, guess its to be expected.
No reason to feel sorry for Rick - his arrogance and dismissive attitude to anyone who dared to question his view of the world or who offered suggestions obliterated whatever good will he had from the community.
MMR seems more like a "one and done" remake every day. That's really sad, because there is (or should be) a decent market for WMS remakes. At one point, I would have gladly preordered remakes of MM, AFM, CC, TOM and BBB. Now the only one I would even consider would be Big Bang and that's only because an original is too far out of my price range.
I hope the few issues with MMR get resolved for the owners, but I see little evidence that Chicago Gaming is prepared to produce/sell/support pinball games long term. This isn't the second Vacation America debacle by any means, but it isn't the second coming of Williams that we were led to believe either.
As for taking anything Rick says at face value in the future - actions speak louder than words. If he every becomes transparent about questions and issues, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
