I am cutting and shaping out a playfield that is baltic birch. Wood is very hard as expected, but The lane switch guide holes are thicker than a jigsaw blade that I own. I drilled out the proper size hole on each end of lane. Then I tried to use dremel and it really took a beating. So I picked up a rotozip saw (30000rpm not adjustable) it cuts the lane but roasts the wood. Actually burns it. I can drill multiple holes in a line to make it easier, but I am curious if anyone has a better idea on cutting the lane switches??? The rest are doable, mostly drill bits and a bit of shapping. Thanks for any help! Everything red is cuts or holes.
