Hey y'all, just picked up a decent seawitch last weekend and have an issue that maybe one of you has come across.
It's somewhat intermittent, but when the left drop bank is completed it will continuously score the bank value, activate the loop lights/sounds for the rest of the ball and doesn't reset the bank. The bank functions in test and at game start and the switches are gapped well. I've tried manually lifting the drops during the endless scoring/lights/sounds to see if that would stop it but it did not.
This game has no signs of corrosion and other than a blown q19, looks great.
Any thoughts?

Each switch seems to be working in test but I'll give it a shot anyway. I figure whatever the issue is it'll be fixed by the time I redo the connections and clean it up but I thought I'd see if it was a common thing.

Mine has the ribbed posts like the ones in your photos.

Edit: they're not easy to clean, mine had wax caked in them from the previous owner.

Ack, I just saw that the ribbed posts I was thinking of are on a different recently acquired machine, a Williams Phoenix. My Seawitch has the same faceted posts.

Had my own attempt at making a new gate. I used an off the shelf 1" hinge, a piece of good scrap steel, some rivets, and the original spring metal.

I used the spring metal to act as the spring for the gate by overlapping it past the hinge, I left a tab up top to add a real spring in case it fatigues and breaks one day . I also left it long so that it rests on the lower rubber. It seems like 9 times out of 10 it feeds the flipper well.

Here's a link to the one I made. It sometimes catches the ball if you soft plunge, but not so much that a little nudge won't clear it.

I did a fun thing on my seawitch last week, I hooked up a guitar hero controller with individual flipper control. It was super fun!

We also did some games on it with a DDR mat controller, the dance pad is... Much more difficult.

The controller just switches a bank of relays that have the N.O. switches hooked up to the flipper button switches, I also insulated the N.O. EOS on the lower flippers and did some creative wiring in order to have full flipper "staging". No physical alterations were made to the machine.
