Was a big on skateboarding when I was young. 43 now, two kids...I've converted to long boarding with the help of lithium batteries to get me around... LOL

Hit speeds of 20 MPH and go as far as 10-12 miles on a single charge. It's pretty bad ass!

It's made by Boostedboards.com

Quoted from rad:

I'm hopeful to pick up a electric board. Was going to get a Marbel board. Did a pre-order (kickstarter) for a Stary board. Stary has hit the delay button over and over. Reminds me of when I did a pre-order with Pinball Sales for a MMRLE - what a joke and painful lesson that was!

I was a backer for Marbel as well. Ended up selling the board as it just wasn't as reliable as boosted boards. The battery itself in a Marbel is built within the board itself...when it goes so does the the whole board. I did like the design...but reliability and safety for me is #1.

I've visited boosted boards head quarters and it's a very legit company. Let's just say I was very impressed with the engineering that went into designing their board. From my understanding, one of the battery design engineers from Tesla was involved with the battery design.

I've probably put on about 3 to 400 miles thus far and it's giving me no trouble.
