I'm going to the Dominican this winter and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any pinballs in Punta Cana? (Pinside map has no information)
Just wondering in case we get a rainy day or two while we're there. Thanks!

Punta Cana is my favorite place on earth, well, Cap Cana. We try to go once or twice a year, I've been 12X now and never seen a pin. The "Fantasia" resort did have an arcade but no pins. For me, the 2 weeks are a nice break from playing and makes me enjoy my games more when I return.
I did hear a rumor that the Blue Mall had a small arcade but I never went to see.
Enjoy the Presidente, my favorite is the black label ( 6%) version.

Thanks Spencer! I've looked online and found a few arcades or games rooms. But nothing with pins.
Like I said it would only be to pass the time on a rainy day.
And I've been told to drink plenty of "el presidente" beer by coworkers who loved it!
just got back from here, our first visit, was amazing! An arcade at our resort grand memories splash but alas no pins. I even wore a pin shirt and couldn't find any pin friends
enjoy the food, drink, beaches and scenery instead
Drink the beer, always drink the rum, but watch out for the Mama Juana. 1 shot is fine, 2 is okay, 3 you wake up the next morning wondering where you are. I have been at least 10 times to the Bahia principle Esmeralda, they are like a second family, I have to hug and high five my way in and out of that place. Did not go this year as I did not want to fly through Toronto, I am it missing it now..
Oh and no pins I have ever seen, and I have been all around the area. Including a great Canadian expat bar.

I love Mama juana. This past Christmas we were at the bar and some guy was bent over and my buddy Ynocencio, the bartender was pouring it down his throat for a few seconds. He saw me and told the other guy, this guy here, he loves this stuff, watch. I proceeded to do the 20 second straight down hatch, half the bottle, lol.
They like to say its a crazy drink, aphrodisiac in fact. Well, I have 2 kids, both 40 weeks give or take after a Punta Cana vacation... Guess its true!
I make my own at home sometimes now.
Good old Dominican Viagra
I got married in the DR, that night I must of done 8-10 shots of it. Even the waiter was saying "don't do it" after about 6 or 7

I brought a insulated beer growler this time, thought it would come in handy for the beach.... which it did.
Went to the bar before we headed down, I gave him the growler and he asked what I wanted. I told him Presidente and he said the whole thing??
He then turned to his buddy and said " this guy's fucking crazy"
I have so many good friends there, it kills me to leave. I'm glad everyone else is really enjoying it too. Check out Cap Cana and the marina, its amazing. Id also suggest Noah restaurant, so good!!
This will be my first time in the Dominican. We are staying at the Majestic Colonial adults-only side. Can't wait!
Shame there aren't any pins. I guess I'll have to drown my sorrows in some Mama Juana and El Presidente

My brother got married at the Majestic Colonial, that was 10 years ago, so I'm sure its changed, especially since the fire but the steak restaurant was to die for, we went there every night!
Its just Presidente, no El
Quoted from Spencer:Best version

I'll try both but that black label stuff seems like my jam
Its harder to find but well worth it.
They actually have three versions. Black, regular and light. The other beer is Canita, its not nearly as good. They also have " the one" its well, not really the one...
It will be a great time I'm sure. It goes a long way with the staff to attempt speaking Spanish even, I have gotten better over time. I can order all my drinks and most of my meals in Spanish now. Also Dominicans are all about family, they love kids and just like being around people who are having a good time and friendly. Also a few bucks for good service goes a long way, no matter what travel agents say tipping is not Included in a package.
Also don't expect a room like Spenser gets That's a "fancy" place he must be staying at
I haven't been to a Spanish speaking country in over a decade so it's probably a good idea to brush up on some Spanish.
Start with the basics please, thank-you, numbers from 1-10
Dos Cervezas por favor is really impostant
Also for me with Spanish, speak fast and almost slur your words.

I would strongly suggest this as well. They do love the kids and family, we have made many friends. Being able to speak some Spanish is huge, they appreciate it and it makes for a better vacation. I usually bring $400 for tips, two weeks. Always get amazing service, so well worth it.
The room is a real treat. Big Papi own's a place in the same resort, we were going to stay in his place but its really nothing special. I was expecting lots of flair but nothing...
When you have kids, having 3 rooms instead of 1 is incredible! Plus, it has a full kitchen, so you can buy your own food/liquor and enjoy your vacation even more.
Small tip... Pay the porter at the airport to get your bags, $5 and it will save you lots of frustration.

My kids are way better than me. Dora The Explorer seems to help! lol

I'll grab a Spanish language book and brush up on it until I leave. I'm fluent in French so it's not too hard shifting over to Spanish....I just haven't done it in years. Thanks for the help gentlemen!

Thanks!
Also.....a coworker suggested setting up a private vehicle from the airport using "Dominican Airport Transfers."
I plan on booking an Escalade. No need to wait for shuttles and other tourists.
Yes definitely tip airport guy and skip the line out of airport.
Learn the staff names and tip them. Always say please and be polite.
Also keep an eye on the people at swim up bar and if any ever get out and go to the washroom...
I was married in puerto plata over a decade ago, and have been to La Romana too. Never saw a pin in the DR. I haven’t been to punta Cana, but hear the beaches are nicer there. We plan to go back to the DR next winter, can’t wait
Never saw a pin but never needed to look either. Had a great time and strongly recommend Punta Cana as a trip for anyone looking to get away for some R&R.
Trying to get Presidente beer stocked in my fridge was like trying to locate the holy grail though. I ended up tipping the fridge refiller guy and he managed to grab me a few cans one day. But overall all we could get stocked in the mini fridge was Coors light.
