Bought some off brand frisket in a Hobby Lobby, and it says not for automotive paint . Any one try automotive basecoat ( solvent base) with these frisket products. I assume if i use light coats it will be fine? What have you guys experienced?
    Thanks,

I’ve used frisket as well as masking material for a vinyl plotter with automotive bases and clears with no ill affects. Obviously I would do a small test prior to.

Ok thanks . I figured if I keep each coat light and blow air to dry quickly it won't either :
    1) creep
    2) melt adhesive
    3) transfer through the frisked welding it to the underlying area

Wonder why it had a warning

I'm gonna give it a shot
