Quoted from EJS:How is it? I think I have one of those
I really enjoy them. I'm not big on "notes" so I can't really say much more than it's a fine smoke!
Quoted from ryanbrooks:Ahh, the mighty mighty Hermosa. If you’ve never had one, it’s worth every penny. They’re just not for the casual smoker.
BINGO!!
IMG_2231 (resized).jpegFor future planning, maybe we set a time and lounge where cigar smokers can meet at Pinfest or White Rose?
Quoted from EJS:Been a few months since I’ve had an AJ.
[quoted image]
I’ve got some of those in one of my humidors, never burned one. Y’all sure talk ‘em up, so maybe I should soon.
Quoted from EJS:Good friends good cigars
And that's what we have here as well! Good times!
Quoted from spfxted:And that's what we have here as well! Good times!
+1 hopefully I'll get a chance to meet most of you at some point.

I used to get out your way once in a while when I was working.
Company is based in Edina.

I was just there today. A lot has changed in the last 5 years but some hasn’t.
Quoted from chubtoad13:I had this for the first time last night. Really nice smoke. I got it in a Robusto sampler. It’s a Vegas Robaina, maybe a Familiares? I’m not sure, the ones I’ve found online look box pressed.
[quoted image]
There are only two current regular production Vegas Robaina, the Famosos (48x5”, so pretty close to a robusto) I’d say you had and the Unicos torpedo.
Great reference: https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com
Last night. First pick from the full box. A little ripe compared to the others I’ve had so I’ll probably let them sit until fall. Still enjoyed!
Also happy to be smoking without the need for that heater! It might make an appearance this week though.

Another Drew Estates offering.
I'm enjoying one now, and pulled up a YouTube review of it.
I had the same issue with the wrapper unraveling, but I'm doing my best to "spit seal" it.
Aside from that, it's a really good smoke. The reviewer had a tight draw issue as well, but mine was OK in that regard. I'm really liking this stick.

Thanks for the heads up I’ll have to check it out I am hearing a number of things coming out from Drew Estate right now.

These are always on CigarBid and normally sell for just a few bucks/stick: https://www.cigarbid.com/shop/?f_LineName.raw=My+Uzi+Weighs+a+Ton
I tried the “fire cured” version once… Not something I’d try again, but the normal MUWAT was good.
This one sat in my truck for a few days just in its own wrapper. Might be slightly dry but still doing well. pinballplusMN with his favorite LFD
On our way back with a HH

This is the band from the Muwat I had last night.

Still available, just a packaging change: https://www.cigarsinternational.com/p/cao-lanniversaire-maduro-cigars/1410671/
For a alternative suggestion, the Nica Rustica from Drew Estate might fit the bill.

Thanks! I ordered a 5pack of each.
Quoted from EJS:The Jake Wyatt experience continues….
This one is kind of neat. Far better flavors than the last JW.
Dang….am I tasting some maple notes?
[quoted image]
I looked at those again today at a local shop and decided to try some Henry Clay offerings instead.
Tonight however, a Perdomo Habano Maduro. Spicy. Really spicy when it’s first light. I’m not sure if it’s mellowed, or if it just numbed my taste buds, but it doesn’t have much flavor other than spicy tobacco right now. I’m only 1/4 of the way through it though.

I saw some of those today while shopping. Problem is that shop puts them right next to the Fuente Opus offerings, and I see shinny things and forget everything else!
Quoted from ryanbrooks:This smoke has a lot going on. Full flavor. Big, thick draw. Lotta flavor going on in this.
Nice! Never heard of them....
