I had that earlier this summer and really enjoyed it!

I am about halfway through and it gets better as it goes. Pairs well with my favorite drink.6899FA64-5F5D-4E3F-949F-A0BBA4C0B2CF (resized).jpeg
Quoted from TZ68:Thanks..that's my beautiful wife of 20 years..
Amazing how both good women and good cigars age well when you take care of them, and they return the favor. I am going on 49 years married to my Jersey Girl.
At a local lounge. I’m normally sequestered to the deck or fire pit. So, I’m having a cigar indoors for the first time in a long time. It’s been raining here for the better part of two days now, and my wife is out of town. I’m enjoying a My Father Connecticut toro, some Bulleit 10yr, and a strange Star Wars novel on my last working day of retirement. After 15 months gone, My old company gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Happy Friday.

Can't go wrong with that one!
Happy Halloween! Tonight my first Sancho Panza Habano. This happens to be the Belicosos, part of a trade with PlanetExpress . I’m really looking forward to this!!

So, what did you think? I find the salty driftwood flavor profile to be so unique… not sure how salty can be a tobacco flavor.
FINALLY got a chance to catch up with USMCSGT0331 to check out his local shop. Very impressive and glad it’s on the other side of town or I’d be there more than I care to admit. Found a couple extra sticks to add to the stash there including their own brand which I’ll try tomorrow. Also got to trade some smokes as well which I’m excited to post here later on.
Here is tonight’s action (I’m on the left) I went with a short one tonight.

It's always a good time hanging out at Tobacco Grove! Pretty excited about the new cigars I got from @EJS, there's a few I've never had before, thanks again! I picked up a box of Joya de Nicaragua Dos Cientos and lit one up, it's pretty great smoke!
I highly recommend that everyone here finds one of the Dos Cientos cigars and joins the Joya de Nicaragua virtual event on the 18th. I have no idea what it will entail, but everyone will be smoking that cigar and probably drinking rum or tequila. Here's a link to the virtual event, just sign up and tune in on the 18th!

Been looking forward to this one all day. Came recommended by USMCSGT0331 and is an in house brand (is that the accurate description?)
Out the gate lots of leathery flavor I’m about half done at the moment and starting to get a little sweet.

Picked it up at Costco on my way home from Expo, I can’t remember if it was $30, but I think it was around there. If you like peat with fruit, pick a bottle up. Matured in bourbon, rum and virgin oak casks… I am a sucker for peaty malts in rum casks.

Anyone have a manufacture that makes medium bodied cigars that I absolutely have to try?

A few suggestions that I don’t think you could go wrong with:
La Palina- Goldie
Illusione- Rothchildes
Crowned Heads- Four Kicks
Padron- Family Reserve (any of the editions is great, but a bit $)
If you’re looking to CCs in a reasonable price range:
Trinidad- Reyes
Juan Lopez- No 2

Thanks man!
I just went to do some browsing and found what looks to be a crazy deal.
400ish bucks off of Cohiba boxes and add a leather carrying case for a buck: https://www.cigarsinternational.com/1-day-deal/

I’ve never tried that cigar, so I can’t speak to it. Just don’t get too caught up in their marketing, the domestic brand copies of Cuban brands tend to set MSRP sky high, then put them on “sale” for 80% off. Same marketing Gurkha uses (nobody is paying $50 a stick). To get a feel for actual value, take a look at CigarBid and see what people are bidding: https://www.cigarbid.com/shop/endingsoon/2069144/?f_BrandName.raw=Cohiba&s=Views_Desc

Gotcha, thanks for the info
Quoted from EJS:From the Fuente box. Almost too mild for me but I’m only 20% done
[quoted image]
Yeah, this one was quite mild as well and went out on me a couple of times. Decent smoke though.
20211109_165815 (resized).jpgDammit all, I am living vicariously through you’re cigar pics guys. Sars Cov 2 has left me with a weird phenomenon where some things smell completely different than they used to. The main things are coffee smells like burnt plastic and a lit cigar smells like an old moldy rag or something. It is any cigar, cheap expensive flavored doesn’t matter they all smell exactly the same and it is not good. Supposedly this can resolve in 3-6 months. What a bite. Anyway enough whining, I will keep an eye on your cigar experiences until I can enjoy my own again. Hopefully.
swillie you will be better before you know it. One of my friends who lives down the street from me had a nasty experience with the virus last year and had zero taste or smell. He stuck his head under the gas stove and couldn’t smell a thing. That’s some scary stuff in my opinion. Fast forward a year (it took him a month tho) he’s getting all those notes from a mild Cuban. You’ll be posting pics soon.
On another subject I know there are several veterans in this thread so a big shout out to you all today, and every day. I do contract work at the VA hospital and see things could use a lot of improvement so I always hope my trips there make things just a little better.
Quoted from swillie:Sars Cov 2 has left me with a weird phenomenon
My son had it, and it impacted his taste. He said eating peanut butter was like chewing on silly putty. Godspeed!
Smoked a feral Pig tonight outside (with heaters) while watching the Gotti series.....forgot to take a photo....
