Are they worth it??

I’m not sure I own the only two they had. Haven’t decided when to have mine yet. Maybe we need to pick a day and we both give them a try.

All this talk of LFD made me try a new one to me tonight. I went with a Cameroon cabinet and seems in line with the flavor. It’s quite mild but nothing negative to speak of. There are others I’d probably have first tho.

This stick my dad always talked up when I was a teenager before I ever had a cigar so I assumed it was a high end smoke. I guess you could call it a high end gas station cigar. I saw this Partagas at the smoke shop and thought of this so had to pick one up. I was shocked by the price....of how cheap it was. I’m about halfway through this now and surprised how good it is for the price. Good for mowing the lawn etc.

I’ll probably grab a few of these to puff on while clearing snow from the driveway this winter.

Sure. Mine should be here in a few days.

Propane patio heater...

Thanks. I have one of them on my deck, but I live almost at the top of a mountain in a newer development without many trees. It's always breezy, so unless for some reason, there isn't any breeze, it just blows the heat away. I thought of putting it in my garage and opening the door, but I'm not sure how much heat radiates from the top. I don't want to burn down my house.

Ratzilla? You mean they're made in Baltimore?

The one I have is rated for indoors. A garage with open door should be fine. It also depends on how powerful you go. Inside a garage you don't need much. Heat does come off the top, but it sits on the floor. I wouldn't put it any higher. ...and by the way, smoked this today while watching the Giants kick some Eagle ass! (great smoke)

I should have mentioned my heater earlier but I run my Big Buddy in the garage late fall early spring. When it gets super cold I’m over at my friends smoking as mentioned above. This is really good for ambient heating. I even installed two ceiling fans in the garage to keep the air moving.

No cigar for me tonight.....

I can’t remember if I posted this one before or if I’ve had it before but this one lit up like a spicy meatball. I’m 5 minutes in and it’s really simmered down. Really good wood notes I think this was only $6 or 7 I should get a few of these.....

Tonight’s wee dram combo. This will be my first taste of the Glenmorangie 14. I’ve had the 10 & 12 (which is excellent). Looking forward to a good report.

Watched football last night on the deck with a few buddies. Heater made everything fine. It was 38 degrees....smoked a Romeo Nicaraguan...

#1914 3 years ago

Not often I throw a cigar out 1/3rd through but with a decent draw I was pulling no smoke. Took 4 times to get it going during its lighting. I’m happy with my other box of Carlos torano im working on. Figured I’d try another one of theirs but no joy here. No biggie. There’s more where this came from. Going to head inside and set up a GTB Big Hurt.

Needed to end the evening on a better note. I assumed a MF would deliver and it is. This one is the Flor de las antillas kind of hard to read in the light.

Lucky I have a full day of work tomorrow and have to start early but at least it’s Friday.

However I will kick off the festivities early with a CAO gold Maduro (that’s right I’m doing another theme, CAO now). Also have some High West double rye.

Big fan of High West, was just eyeing a bottle of double rye the other day, nice stuff!

I had their “campfire” last year as my first bottle. Really delicious. It’s harder to find than others it seems.

Tonight we are mixing things up literally.

Never had a Kristoff before. Has a nice finish to the puff.

Accompanied by a mixture of Tito’s and Kettle One. I didn’t mix it but my friend brought it for me.

Is it as delicious as it looks? Alas it’s now too cold to smoke in my garage so I might have to wait til I get to my friends house to give mine a try.

Yes, it was great! Just bought two 5 packs of LFD Chisels...

Very nice! Since I’ve recently taken up the hobby of live streaming pinball I’m in the garage smoking less and busy flipping. When the friends wife is out of town the inside of the house will be on FREE PLAY in terms of smoking in the house.

Alright I’ve heard the name enough and finally decided to try one and it’s 55 in the garage still so I’ll fire up a Jaime Garcia

I thought I posted this Carlos Torono earlier tonight when I had it, darn I hope I didn’t post in the wrong thread. I enjoyed this one but not as good and the first one I had which I haven’t seen since I bought the entire box that was at the store.

Once again I’m happy to find my garage is still warm. If I preheat it via the heat off my engine after driving I can get it comfortable enough to smoke. Maybe I’ll have my LFD football tomorrow night after visiting my ma. Closing out this evening with an Asylum 13. Having the medium sized maduro oblongata. I’ve only had the medium and large. Small is too small which is a robusto I think.

Okay my turn. Yeah it’s got that delicious LFD flavor going on. I’m posting this as I’m about to hit the football. It’s tasty but feel like I’m destroying a work of art. I also notice your football is more ummm maduro.

This one will last awhile longer as my humi is recently nice and moist for the winter.

CAO maduro rather crispy in taste compared to the above. Sweeter too. No cutter so had to bite the tip off.

Ok, be honest, while being inattentive has anyone ever put the burning end of your cigar into your mouth? I just did. No injuries, but my pride took a hit.

No but I’ve done a fair share of fumbles and drop hot cherries on my lap more than I care to admit.

In college I rode in a car with a woman and she let me smoke in the car. It had one of those automatic seat belt things that seemed to be installed in cars for a few years. If you know what I’m talking about...that thing came back and smacked the cigar out of my mouth and onto the neck of a nice sweater I was wearing and put a nice hole in it.

I was surprised to see I bought a variety pack when I bought this box. I just saw Gurkha and liked the price and grabbed it at the local smoke shop. I was extremely pleased to find these varieties inside. Saving the Evil for last I think. Assassin will be second to last.

No surprises I’m sure....another Gurkha from that sampler. When I first lit it I got nervous when I could hardly taste anything worried I might have you-know-what. Finally some flavors kicked in for me. I’m exploring some different notes I haven’t tasted in a cigar in awhile. It’s very complex but remains quite mild. I completely understand why it’s called Seduction. I googled this one and it sounds like I’m having the correct experience for this one. They say it’s medium bodied which sorta makes sense.

This would be more appropriate on a hot and humid summer day. Not 30s with the space heater on.
