Talking about the white spidey inserts that change brightness, I believe this is the same for the villain ones as well.

I agree. I added an LEDOCD and it made a HUGE difference. One of the best pin mods ever (I bought 3).

I also picked up an LED OCD board for SM. The dimming effects will not work correctly no matter what LEDs you buy. The ghosting/strobing was so bad on my villain inserts I actually took the LEDs out of those inserts until I got the board.
