Quoted from RWH:

I'd like to have the one that has the USS Massachusetts on it. I like the business advertisement, history, or political ad knives that are produced.

I used to go there with my father when I was a kid. Battleship Cove. Cool place.

How are you guys keeping your knives sharp? The knife I just got is sharp out of the package, but I feel like it could be honed a little bit more to achieve razor sharpness.

Quoted from Jgel:

If you ever have some inexpensive ones that you want to get rid of, send me a PM. I have always wanted one.

They aren't legal in your state. Don't buy one somewhere and have it mailed to you.

I have a diamond block sharpener I use. You just have to get used to holding the same angle when you sharpen and that will come with practice. Any decent sharpening stone is all you need, either wet or the dry use stones. I prefer the wet and simply wipe my stone with a damp cloth before starting and once more before I stop. I'll add a pic in a few.

Here's the diamond stone I use.

I love my apex edge pro. I use it for all my kitchen knives too

I'm a fan of almost anything that helps you hold the correct angle. My son uses a Wicked Edge Pro sharpener. It cost around $1000 but he makes really nice knives, so its worth it for him. Especially since he has to put the edge on knives where there is no edge.

I can get what I need from a low end Lansky sharpening kit for around $50. All I am doing is touching up.

I use the Spyderco tri-angle sharpmaker for quick touch ups. My brother has the Lansky set and it is also excellent. When it is time for a real sharpening festival then I pull these boys out for a few hours of fun. Just did all the kitchen knives for Christmas carving.

Just adding a couple pictures of a few of the knives I have collected for those that are interested.

My pocket knife and a few old WW2 German daggers. The German Navy dagger is in relic condition.

I send mine back to the company to sharpen.

I send my back to the company too. Microtech does it for free. They even sent me a cool keychain the last time they sent it back to me.

Ha! I guess I’m not only one that does that. It’s very therapeutic to me. Some beer and my sharpening stones = lots of fun

Woohoo! Just got the knife at bottom of pic from my bro in law for Christmas. It’s a solid beater blade that will now be my EDC at work on the jobsites. It’s got great action for a $30 blade. Let’s hope it will hold up with the punishment I will certainly put it through.
