I got a call from a local guy by me that said he has a super 8 pinball from 1934 for sale. That's a little old for my tastes but if any body has any interest I can get some info for you tomorrow,11/20. I'm located in North Jersey. Feel free to shoot me a PM or post here, thanks.

Cool game, I hope you get it Jeff. Stoner Mfg. made games with very ornate metal work, they look beautiful all polished and painted up.

I am sure that the Pacific Pinball Museum would be interested in it if you were looking to donate it.

Just needs LEDs, mirror blades, powder coat, and a bunch of toys on the playfield.

    Hello,

My first post here. I had seen that machine on craigslist and emailed him about a month ago but he wanted too much, I offered $200 for it. He did not bite. I mailed again a few weeks later but still too much and he mailed me the other day and finally came down to $200 so I drove out to check it out. It was dirty and missing a few things butt nothing I did not think could be manufactured or replaced so I did grab it. When I took it apart the mechanical parts are in. Ice shape for something that is 80 years old. The wiring all will need to be replaced though as the insulation is cracked all over.

The was the game works is if you get a ball in the metal traps and you then get a ball in either the left or right channel it will activate a solenoid that will snap the balls to the next trap working your way down. If you get it in the super hole it snaps both left and right channels forward. If you are having a good game and run out of balls you can push a rod in below the coin slide and then insert a coin it will return all the balls in bottom 100 point slot back to you to try again.

I have another game for the same year called Signal by Bally. Works similar in terms of advancing the balls but is a train themed game.

Will try to attach some pics of the inside of the Super-8.

Very unique cast parts inside, thanks for the pics. That should be a fun project to work on.

I was thinking a nice topper would make it super cool.

No problem, thought some people might find it interesting. I am looking forward to the project most definitely. Though it has a similar type of gameplay as my Signal it is more complex in some ways and more simplistic in others. The Signal has 3 runways rather than 2 and each gate has it's own solenoid so more of a wiring rats nest.

Here are some shots of the Signal.
