Some camcorders say they will do 60 fps instead of the 30 fps that the Logitech webcams do. For watching a tournament live in person I would think that might be preferable. For streaming the 30fps would probably be best to save bandwidth.

Anyone have any experience comparing and contrasting pinball on 30 and 60 fps?

Quoted from akm:

Doing some pre-PAPA last-minute streaming on Demolition Man (that is, unless I stream tomorrow). Should be going for the next 90 minutes. http://www.twitch.tv/akmpinball

Yeah, 60fps would be ideal, although I'm not sure if Twitch actually supports streaming at that rate (it wasn't until recently that YouTube started allowing it). I'll have to look into it though.
As far as comparing between 30/60fps, there's no doubt 60 is going to be much smoother, especially in situations where the ball has to travel quickly. Those guys with better rigs than I should have no problems streaming at 60fps if Twitch allows it.

Yeah I am wanting to be able to show tournament play on a big screen live at our local Florida shows, so people can watch the action and more that just the players can enjoy the tournament. Streaming is a secondary concern. Since it would be closed circuit, 60fps would be easy to show and I am assuming would make the ball smoother when it is moving fast.
