I'm trying to setup to record, and having trouble getting my computer to recognize all my cameras. I'm using a macbook pro retina (2012), with 3 logitech c920 cameras through a powered USB hub. I've tried setting it up in both CocoaSplit and Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), and neither of them will recognize past the third camera. All cameras show up in the list of devices, but it won't show the video for any more than 2 cameras at a time. If I use the built in camera on the laptop, I can have 3 videos, but no more than 2 of the Logitech cams will work at a time (and which ones work can move around if I unplug/replug some of them).

Anyone else had a similar issue, or any tips on how I might get this working?

well, it helped some -- I got 3 working for a little bit, and then went to re-arrange how I had them plugged in, and went back to 2... will mess around with some reboots and try a couple different hubs when I have some more time later this week.

I've def noticed the macbook isn't thrilled with unplugging and replugging anything... Which has me pretty well leaning toward getting a dedicated PC for this, so I can try to avoid having to rehook everything constantly... the macbook travels with me to work everyday, so I'll constantly be having to rehook and reassign cameras to each feed if I try to use it.

Due in very large part to all the great info in this thread, I'm now up and running with my own stream at twitch.tv/fz_berz -- current plan is to try and stream at least Mondays and Fridays from about 7-9p central, from either my house or a nearby buddy's house, with extra streams if/when I can.
