I've got a problem with two of my pins where certain 555 bulbs keep falling out of their sockets because of ball hits. Of course this only happens when I have a good game going, but the bulbs rolling around on the PF inside the pin screws up the current game and forces me to pause to remove the glass and re-seat them.

With my TAF this happens a lot for the two bulbs on both sides of the chair, so much that I now have them constantly removed (which sucks).
On my TZ this frequently happens for the two bulbs on top of the piano.

So, is there any good solution to this? I'm aware of that these bulbs are more exposed to ball hits than many other lamps, but after so many years of pin gaming I feel like there should be a good solution out there somewhere...

Weak pinch lamps are the main cause. The TAF chair bulbs do wiggle loose and fall out due to the ball slamming the chute and weak pinch lamps certainly don't help. You can replace the lamps which should eliminate your issue OR replace the bulbs with LEDs and before inserting use a hot glue gun and run a fat bead around the bulb.

I have bulbs falling out all the time, either push the clamps closer together and spread the leads on the lamp out.
Or do what I do and hot glue the crap out of it, any other way isn't a guarantee. The hot glue come off pretty easily most of the time.

+1 for an LED lamp and hot melt glue. Worked well for me.

    With LEDs I bend
the wires out than wrap the base with a thin piece of electrical tape. Bend the wires back and install... works like a charm

Double sided sticky tape under the contacts works well for me.
