I wanted to start a thread to see what type of fun at home rules, games, friendly tournaments, ect. everyone plays with their friends and family for some change of pace fun on the pinball machines. A simple example would be playing teams for each player of a game where each member of the team gets to play one of the 3 balls for the player as a team score.

Any fun at home tournament rules? Drinking games? Games outside of the game while playing? What kind of wacky or fun games does everyone play?

    I'd love to hear them!

Dollar games. 4 players. Each throws in a dollar and winner takes all the money.

Dollar for high ball on each ball, dollar for poker on each ball, a progressive jackpot of 1 dollar per game (must win both high ball and poker on ball 3).

    Dollar for a match

On kick off, 1 dollar if you hit all drop targets

Gauntlet (play each game in a row at the same time, ball one on game 1, 2, etc. Back to ball 2)

    Single ball gauntlets.

All adds up to me losing about 40 bucks a night against Puffdanny

It is all Monopoly money and Chuck-E-Cheese coins just so everyone is clear.

"Nine-ing out" any 6 digit solid state games.

    Everyone puts down a $20

And then you have to come as close to 999,999 as possible - without going over

Some Bally carry over a bonus achieved from a previous ball, so you really have to pay attention on ball 3

Or "Tommy Dollars". Bills are placed on the glass and players have to look around them to play, similar to Data East Tommy Blinders.

I you have a TAF you can play Addams Family Obstacle Course. I made these notes back when I still had one:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's how to play Jake Erskine and Theresa Nessel's The Addams Family Obstacle Course
Play with 2 to 4 players and play the number of games equal to or a multiple of number of players. Rotate who goes first.

The object is to complete these goals in order. Any shots made out of order do not count.
    1. Skill shot. If you hit any other switch that validates the playfield besides the skill shot, your ball is over. You must complete the skill shot to advance. Doing so scores 1 point.
    2. Spell GRAVE. Score 1 point for spelling grave and 1 bonus point for doing it in order.
    3. Spell GREED - Score 1 point.
    4. Thing Flips - Thing doesn't have to make the shot, it just must be flipped. Score 1 point.
    5. Train Wreck - Score 1 Point
    6. 3-Way combo - Score 1 point. May be repeated for an additional point as victory laps
If GREED multiball is started, all progress is lost and player must start back at 1 point and begin the process again starting with spelling GRAVE.
Bonus: Tour the Mansion - Score 10 points

I like Tommy dollar games. It’s the same as a dollar game but you and other players get to put their dollar wherever on the glass obstructing the view.

We play that but majhong style. Every ball pays out hi ball and poker. So a 4 player game will start with 8 dollars at least on it, can only pull unobstructed dollars

On my Jet Spin, there are six ways to earn a special:

    - Right target lit when bonus is at 4000
    - Left target is lit when bonus is at 6000
    - Right target is lit when bonus is at 8000
    - Star on roto target is lit when bonus is at 15000
    - Bury the vari-target to light the left side lane bullseye
    - Special at 100k or 150k

My goal is to get a minimum of four different specials in one game. I find it takes a bit of skill and strategy.
