Wow what a game! No pinball for me tonight while suffering through 8 innings....only for the sweetest payoff in the 9th. No offense to any Giants fans out there, you've had plenty of fun the last 6 years or whatever. Anyone who wants can joke about Cubs futility can whatever they want. But this team is great. Nothing is guaranteed though & it's just fun to enjoy the ride!

I just hope the Cubs can go 11-whatever. They may or may not win, I'm enjoying the ride anyway. What I'm not doing is thinking about the White Sox EVER (until someone goes OT & mentions them). I wish for <some, not all> White Sox fans, they could do the same about the Cubs.

That's the great thing about sports & what so many forget. I get tired of the 'failure' season discussions. The Cubs are favorites, sure. But you've got quality, proud opponents fighting you every step of the way. Dodgers are kicking their asses right now. I hope it changes. All in the Rollercoaster ride of the fan.

What a great pitching performance. I'm so glad they rocked Kershaw & really made it a comfortable night. Now so much joy...I hope we're feeling the same after the World Series.

And after I typed that I really can't believe I'm typing Cubs & World Series together. So awesome!!!

Someone's going to win tonight and they will deserve it. They'll deserve it as a team that has earned it and their fans will deserve it for sticking around through so many years. Of course each side is biased who they'd like to win (Go Cubbies!), but as bad as it would feel if they lose, at least both sides gave it a great shot. As much as it would suck, it's the great thing about sports. We have no idea what will happen. This series has been an emotional roller coaster. We have no control over it either. It pulls me in directions I usually can control in other parts of my life, but this I can't. Obviously the flip side to the negative is the uncontrollable joy if they win. Someone's going to feel that, and the chance of that makes it all worth it.

Read the bottom line. I guess Dialed IN knew it was going to happen all along.

And I'm so happy they were right!!!

It's just a different, inferiority complex-type mentality. It's really sad. It's not all of them, but it's an absurd amount of them. And those are the ones that give White Sox fans a bad name. When the Sox were winning, to me, that was their deal. Good for them, but my team's season was over & I was no longer interested.

As for the even more absurd argument that the Sox title was somehow better than the Cubs because they lost less games along the way...well, it's hard to respond. But I will. I have to believe no one in their right mind cares or makes the effort to remember how many games were lost along the way. It's really the perfect example of trying too hard. Both are World Series Championships. Both are equally impressive. Both will be remembered as great achievements for their respective teams. Why or how anyone would try to say theirs is better than the others is mind boggling to me.

But to each his own, no matter how sad. I'll enjoy this whether or not any amount of Sox fans are trying to manifest relevance while we're celebrating.

See you at the parade!!!
