    Quoted from Reality_Studio:

Here's the main problem, let's say someone goes to a show and catches the virus. Tag they are it but they are young and healthy so they don't even know they now have the virus. Then they go see their grandma, or go anywhere where there are elderly people and now they have possibly spread it to others whom it can kill. The danger with such a virus is how easily it can quickly get out of control, with this particular virus being more sinister in that people may have it and not even know it.

We've explained this to Ice, he's more concerned about the stock market.

    Quoted from snyper2099:

I am not that surprised at the government response thus far. It is a direct response to the panic put forth by the local and national news media, social media, and other media that is really only doing this because it is an opportunity to make THEM HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS A DAY. All mentioned sources are involved because it's the best way to put their ideas about how to run things into the spotlight and to drum up support for their ways of thinking. Same old song and dance over the last 100 years.

Funny enough, in response to the Spanish flu, the US government did not want the media writing negative news, so both downplayed the severity and millions died. Granted, that was 101 years ago. Still, a cautionary tale.

Hey Dan, I'm not making it to MGC this year for unrelated reasons, but I appreciate your measured response and fair treatment to passholders. MGC was one of my favorite parts of living in the Milwaukee area back when I lived in Wisconsin and it's what got me into pinball, thanks for all you do!

    Quoted from iloveplywood:

Whats the angst regarding an official announcement of a cancellation of pinball shows -- seems like the absolute bottom of the worry barrel to me. Obviously these shows aren't happening -- and no one has to go even if they aren't cancelled. Is it worry over the economic value of your tickets if you pre-ordered? Sorry if I missed something earlier in the thread, but is there a reason an official announcement is a big deal right now?

Only argument i can make is that some vendors or larger companies expose their employees to unnecessary health risks by going through with the show. I understand people are free to leave a job, but it's a crappy situation if you need to choose between your health and your job.
