Honestly not everyone is suited to gaming. You may be SOL or reliant on Tabletop Simulator/Vassal/Tabletopia/Board Game Arena/etc to get your gaming fix. Not everyone has the mentality to enjoy (or even to grasp the more complex rules of the heavier ones) gaming. I've tried to bug family members into my games back in the day, eventually I realized anything heavier than Ticket To Ride is just not gonna fly with them.
You can't just make people with different mental makeup than you like the things you like.
