Quoted from Groo:

Still need to clean up my 3rd shelf.

That second picture set of titles reads like a roll call for Wil Wheaton's tabletop show.

Quoted from lpeters82:

What games would you suggest to a group of fairly inexperienced gamers? I've got them to play things like Ticket to Ride, 7 Wonders, King of Tokyo, etc. They aren't going to play anything too deep, too long, too much waiting, or require too much reading. At the same time I'd like to keep pushing them with the complexity a little bit.

Just to throw in some names not already mentioned: Splendor, NY 1901, and if you want to up the complexity a bit - Five Tribes.

Patchwork is a 2 player game with a currency mechanic to getting pieces. Very different from Azul.

Looking for a good 2 player game to play with my wife on an upcoming trip. Any suggestions?
Bonus points for replay value, small pack size, and ability to play solo.

Oh, you didn't specifically say 2 player for the trip over on the other forum. I'd second the "Lost Cities" recommendation, as well as "Jaipur" and "Patchwork"

If anybody wants legendary, I have a copy in great shape I’d happily part with for like 20 bucks. just didn’t get into it.

I’ll take it but I assume shipping would be a gating issue!

Yeah, with shipping it’d probably be as much as that amazon copy (if you had prime)

Quoted from Jediturtle:

I love Sagrada. It's kind of sudoku with beautiful dice and artwork. Plenty of variety with the different tools and stuff to keep it fresh for awhile. The solo is pretty good too. I've played it at 1, 3, and 5 (with the expansion) and it seemed to work well at each. I would imagine it would be great at 2 players.

I’m sure I’m crazy AND dumb, but I wish they’d make a collectors edition of Sagrada with 16-19mm dice, kind of how they made a huge version of Takenoko. The smaller dice are just not as satisfying to roll, and the bigger grid of dice would look cooler. I’ve looked around for big dice in all the right colors with the thought that I’d just figure out how to make the other components myself, but couldn’t come up with all 5

Since handing off Legenday was well received, I figure I’ll throw this out there too - Seasons. Never really took to that either. We played it a few times, just didn’t get into it. Everything is in great shape. $20.
