I have a Zaccaria Combat. The electronic sound is horribly irritating. Has anyone found an alternative other than ear plugs? A good pinball game needs good audio.

Those boards just provide the same original sound don't they? I was hoping for an alternative like chimes.
There is a guy on the arcade-museum forum that made a sound board replacement for a Sea Raider game, using an Arduino and a MP3 sound shield. It can produce any sounds that you want. If it works on a Sea Raider I'm sure it could be made to work on a Combat. Says it only cost about 20 bucks, but I have no idea how you do it and he didn't leave much info.

My Zac Circus was awful, but it had an unused jones plug for standard Williams chimes. If memory serves, it was located in the upper left corner of the bottom cab.
