Quoted from rotordave:

11 hours.
Coach seats - $800 USD each return x 3
business class - $3000 USD each return x 3
Manly = spending all the difference on Modelos.

Figured with all your world travels
you be able to cash in some frequent flyer miles.
Furthermost trip i ever made was from LAX to Dubai direct
on my way to work in east africa a few years ago.

Good luck to all (@PAPA) and safe trip.
cheers tom

Quoted from rotordave:

the subway back down to East 23rd to go to a gluten free restaurant, but it was a stinker

What was the stinker?
The subway or eatery?

Quoted from Danni_NZ:

toilet the sheer volume of water. When water could be saved, it is used, only to be splashed everywhere. It is quite inconvenient for the conventional person. May we agree that Aussie and Kiwi toilets are designed in a user-friendly way, that allows the user to not be splashed on the butt by backlash?!

Well compare that to a sh*tter that I came across while working in Africa
where it is more common to sqaut than sit.
It was not uncommon
when entering a conventional toilet stall with standard style porcelain stool
to find footprints on the toilet seat.
Also note that the toilets in Africa (particularly in locales with high Muslim population)
they have a hose sprayer handy for wash up.
Sorry for the off topic diversion, but you started it.

Great reading all your postings on this recent trip,
but its about 400 posts shorter than the route 66 trip, last year.
Just one more detour (Elvisville) before you go home, have a safe trip.

On this trip did you plan to bring back any new pins with you to NZ?
Or at least set up some new buys for later container shipment?

Quoted from rotordave:

Checked out a couple of guitar shops for used guitars, no winners though so my Guitar Wall remains as it is for now.

My wife is wanting to sell her Elvira special edition guitar (byBCRich),
I think it is up on ebay now.
Might looks nice next to your EATPM that you got on your last trip to USA.

Have safe trip home.

Quoted from rotordave:

I bet someone snaps it up.

She wants too much for it, to let it go cheap.
She also has a Danelectro Longhorn Baritone guitar that she thinks is worth a fortune.

IF a new Elvira themed pin is produced, it will be the first NIB pin
that my wife will "force" me to buy.
