Quoted from rotordave:

Mike Howe would have to be one of the best singers in metal. Despite looking like a guy who works behind the counter at Starbucks, man, can he rip it out. He still sounds 100% the same as he did on the Metal Church albums of the late 80s. Amazing.

Oh, Metal Church. You are living large! I haven't seen them since the 80s, but they were always a top notch act! His hair's a little shorter now...

You get the bootleg shirt and wash it once, then you can throw it away.

#387 3 years ago

That's what happened to my bargain World Series shirts the year the Angels won it all. Oh, that was a good year.... We went to games 2,6, and 7. They weren't going to be denied.

All I can say is "season pass!"

#446 3 years ago

We're going to start an Amish colony in So Cal.

#449 3 years ago
Quoted from rotordave:

Nimblepin wanted to move to my 7 acres in Pukekohe and set up a commune, we could easily go full Amish. Horses for all.

Probably too small a parcel to build New Zealand's premier amusement park so good idea!

Quoted from MrBally:

No pinball without electricity though. Maybe the '20's & early '30's stuff....

We've got Mary Ann to pedal the generator.

#498 3 years ago
Quoted from rotordave:

The rude old lady who worked in the bottom station had probably been there since 1877, that's why she was pissed off at the world. Haha.

Pics of the old lady or it never happened!

Quoted from blue95:

I once ordered 2 slices of buttered toast at a Denny's in Texas to put my Vegemite on. The server was fairly confused that that was all I wanted.

Hokus Pokus (by Focus...)

Quoted from rotordave:

Smile and take it like a man?

I'm not sure that was the line.

#571 3 years ago

You guys might need a passport to get back.

#600 3 years ago
Quoted from rotordave:

Bogans tend to collect empty Jack Daniels bottles as proof of their bogan-ness.

I could have built a bogan house of bottles like that one at Knotts if I'd saved all mine. So how were the rides at Dollywood? I'll get there someday.

#660 3 years ago

You guys are going to be true rednecks by the time you get back to NZ. As if two stops in Fullerton wasn't enough....

#674 3 years ago
Quoted from rotordave:

Danni is used to air conditioned climes.

Nimblepin says Auckland is similar to San Diego as far as climate goes. No snow.

Around here we only need screen doors most of the year.

#678 3 years ago

In the good old days there was a plate glass sliding door beyond the infamous Bogan net, but that didn't last...

#745 3 years ago

You guys are at Universal? Cool! Take a ride on the Mummy Coaster!

#748 3 years ago

Good thing you missed the grand opening of that ride. It was a zoo!

#751 3 years ago
Quoted from Danni_NZ:

It's all goods at the Universal Studios...

That's one long escalator ride isn't it?

#762 3 years ago

Tony Roma's? I would have pre-ordered...

#764 3 years ago

You gotta be kidding me!

#766 3 years ago

All I heard was people take your places.

#769 3 years ago

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all had fun.

#780 3 years ago
Quoted from dmbjunky:

O-din's place looks awesome.

Thanks! It probably looks better than I did this morning. I think everybody left before the Modelo ran out and then I broke out the Jack. But it was a lot of fun last night!

#782 3 years ago

You should try my tomatoes!

#784 3 years ago

I only use the best chicken poop available,

#787 3 years ago
Quoted from rotordave:

Chicken poop + odins piss = fried green tomatoes.
rd

LOL! Just so people don't get the wrong idea I have a special place behind the garage where nothing grows. In So Cal it is now mandatory to save water so I do my part.

Spent the whole day fixing the machines and rearranging the furniture a bit. For the most part the games were trouble free last night. I still didn't get that line out of Cyclones display though.

Have a safe flight and see you guys next time!

And who needs stuff hung on the wall?

Thank goodness for those wood floors and those carpeted sliders.

#792 3 years ago

And a flat screen TV to watch MeTV on.

#794 3 years ago

I'm so tired I'm going to go turn it on, get in one of those Lazyboys, fall asleep until Bob shows up and then it starts all over again!

I copy all my pictures to pinside. It is my own personal cloud.

Good setlist, but Ton of Bricks would have put it over the top.
