There have been a couple of topics comparing pro and premium. I have always thought premium is better because you get a better lightshow, you get a couple of extra features... but is it?

Let's ignore the cost and decide which of these wins and why?

#1 Metallica Pro versus Premium
#2 Game Of Thrones Pro versus Premium
#3 Aerosmith Pro versus Premium
#4 Walking Dead Pro versus Premium

I own a GOT pro, had an offer to "upgrade" to a premium for practically nothing, I passed. If there was only a premium version, I would not own the game. Upper/ lower playfields usually suck and this one is no exception with it's poor rules, poor ramp flow, and blocking more than a quarter of the playfield.

I'm debating between TWD versions now and would love to hear more from owners. I love the gi on the premium TWD, but think 3 bash toys is overkill. Think the crossbow really slows things down. Like the single drop target and spinners tho... pop up ramp... ehh. I'm torn.

A lot of people sure don't like the upper playfield on GOT premium. I vote premium. Upper playfield is fine. Maybe it's even great. Missed shots exit out the back end, it is sized right, themed well and has a nice difficulty level. I fully support that design.

Once everyone is done gushing over POTC in 6 month's, people won't like the flow on that upper playfield either.

Walking Dead Pro for me, on gameplay. Art not so much. I can't speak to AS or Metallica.

Metallica if cost does not matter I vote premium because the hammer is awesome.

GOT I vote premium artwork is beautiful compared to the pro and the mini playfield adds more rules.

Aerosmith I vote premium I like the mini playfield because I can lock balls up there and start double scoring.

TWD I vote pro because I don't like the button on the premium/LE version because I think it makes it a much easier game.

This is a game by game debate, and always will be.
ACDC will always be the "test case" for this debate, as the Premium is so far superior IMHO I cannot even play a PRO and enjoy it.

GOT - Premium blows for many reasons (bad diverter to top floor on orbit shot, upper playfield blocks view of left/center ramp). Smart move keeping PRO.

TWD - exact opposite - PRO feels like a home game compared to the Premium (extra electro-mag, spinners, left ramp option, power up button, drop targ at Woodbury entrance, crossbow, and more). This is the only title I ever bought NIB prior to release...and I traded it in 2 months. I was so irate at Stern for putting everything in the Premium that I could not stand it. For TWD - LE or Premium is a far, far better machine.
