Quoted from Coz:

Does this get you excited for the new pin?

This is what happens when everyone gets a trophy when competing as a child.

They grow up and think shit like this is actually good. They must be completely delusional.

SMDH....

#59 4 years ago
Quoted from jcg9998:

Once again, Pinsiders get right to work criticizing a new pinball game from a new manufacturer. Yep, I'd rather have no choice at all.
All you manufacturers of pinball games, stop giving me choices already! Please stop making new games so Stern can charge even more money for their games!
This behavior really makes one wonder if the people on this site who do nothing but criticize are either shills or seriously lacking in common sense.

Have you gone to their website? I seriously thought it was a work of satire posted by a pinsider at first. There was no way these pins really existed (I thought to myself).

Sushi comes to life and you must defeat it??? Pieces of tuna served as food???

Yes... we must be the ones lacking in common sense lololol.

After catching up on the past four pages of this thread, I believe a more fitting name for his pin would be "Narcissist Factory".

I claim fair use on this image, as it is not being used for marketing...

I don't think it is a bad theme.

I am making a homebrew with a theme based on glue, but I am not sure it will stick.

I can say as a carpenter, if you play this you wood be board. When I looked at it I sawdust.

#845 9 months ago
Quoted from Beechwood:

... When I looked at it I sawdust.

Wow, I was trying to be clever but turns out I was prophetic! That playfield is a complete failure.

#866 9 months ago

If he had only outsourced the playfields to Greatwichjohn. Sure, they wouldn't be ready until 2029 and smelled of stale beer and spicy sausage, but they would have looked far better.

#872 9 months ago

The rhythm, which is the squeaky sound, is -seriously- nothing more than a rusty box spring from a redneck porno.

Listen again and prove me wrong.

#879 9 months ago
Quoted from toddtuckey:

.I am supposed to get $10 per book sold...he has not sent me any documents or sales data in years.

He should have called this pin "karma factory" instead of "punny factory". He is eating a spoiled shit sandwich for screwing over one of the nicest guys in pinball.

Quoted from PinballBuzz:

Why our negative pinside fans write negative comments about us!
They are not written with a kindly disposition, but usually in contempt, with an aim to cause havoc or upset. These people who write rude comments are usually bored individuals, or those who just want to cause trouble. Or they are jealous of someone else's success and wish to destroy this in some way.
Internet and studies can’t be wrong
If you think about it, these people go to bed and wake up checking their phones to see if there is anything new posted; that’s weird, creepy and stalky all wrapped in one!

One things for sure, that messed up play field should have never been shipped, placing the burden on the customer to rectify.

Saying "things happen" is lazy business. That playfield should have never been sold in a pin.

It would have been redone or burned in the fire pit.

Yes, the fire pit with the dead hooker... still waiting for that story John.

Goddamn, now that I think about it, this is a twisted hobby!

I have inside information that the sequel to "Sushi Madness" is going to be "Chinese Laundry", they just need to iron out a few wrinkles.

#1040 7 months ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

I hope they don't spoil the "ancient Chinese secret" : New improved Calgon!

That is material for a different thread.

Someone has to come up with a good yellow eyes pun. The cornea, the better.

I don't see how that's funny.

I just grabbed a pencil Andrew my own conclusion.

10
#1103 5 months ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Anybody who buys a punny factory deserves to have their $6000 thrown off a roof. Into a burning fire. And eaten by feral hogs.

They should just put an "Out of order" sign on it and ship it to the PHoF. It would be right at home.

#1107 5 months ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I just don’t understand why Don wants everybody else to pay for his mistake.
He’s the idiot who bought this POS.
If he just sucked it up, sent it to todd, and had him throw it off the roof, he’d be a hero for truth, justice, and all that is right.
Instead he’s just another moocher asking everybody else to pay for his mistake.
Don’s got the money, just ask him. He’s super successful.

Oh, shit... I thought he was raising the money to give to charity.

Fuck that, he made a stupid decision and now he can live with it. It's a $7K box of lights that no one should bail him out of, other than the CC company. And throwing it off a roof is stupid regardless of the playfield condition, almost as stupid as the theme itself lol.

14
#1138 5 months ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

if he can raise 6k, they will drop his Punny Factory off the roof of TNT amusements.

I know someone who dropped their 007 off a a roof and smashed it to pieces.

They tried to glue it back together, but it didn't Bond.

D0n was singing how "Punny Factory" would be funny, but the jokes on hymn...

#1152 5 months ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

I'm here simply to laugh at Andrew and his lolcow exploits.

I'm simply here to make puns, but it got complicated.

#1163 5 months ago

There is no way it sells for that much money, it makes no cents!

#1166 5 months ago
Quoted from Mr68:

Would a pinball museum want to buy a Punny Factory?

d0n tried to sell it to a museum, but mummy wouldn't let him.

#1168 5 months ago
Quoted from Mr68:

Makes sense. I heard she wasn't wrapped too tight.

Nothing worse than a loose mummy.

11
#1175 5 months ago

I understand the frustration of paying a lot of money for a pin that has issues. I also know Andrew has had serious shortcomings when dealing with many in this community.

All that aside, it still takes an incredible amount of work and passion by many people to build a pin. Regardless of all the previously mentioned issues, and the stupid fucking theme, it is asinine and shameful to destroy this pin for spite.

#1179 5 months ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

Crazy story! I was at the unemployment office yesterday and was shocked to see a Punny Factory in the lobby. I asked the grumpy guy at the desk why they had it. To which he replied "The theme doesn't work for anyone."

#1239 4 months ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

You put a lot of work into these, which is impressive in not a small way, but they are pretty awful.
Perfect metaphor for this game, really.

It's ok, they will totally redeem themselves with their pin about flying on an airplane. I mean, who of us haven't been waiting for a theme based on something very few people like to do and consider it a necessary evil?

Next to a pin about being in a hospital on life support, I can't think of a better theme.

#1241 4 months ago
Quoted from TreyBo69:

I don’t know if that airplane game will get off the ground.

It's been delayed until they can go to Buffalo for the wings.

#1243 4 months ago

I hear they wanted to build it at the Orkin factory, but it was a no fly zone.

#1249 4 months ago

They were going to reveal the "First class" airplane pin at a New York fashion show, but the models didn't want to share the runway.

#1256 4 months ago

The airplane theme and poor execution just proves that two wrongs don't make a Wright.

11
#1322 3 months ago

I vote for shipping the pin to Greatwhichjohn so he can burn it in the shady backyard firepit where they found the dead hooker. (And drank copious amounts of beer.)

#1325 3 months ago
Quoted from greatwichjohn:

I have burned some rare pinball machines over the years like Gottlieb Asteroid Annie, 2 Bally Spectrum, & many other games. If a Pinball Adventure game comes my way for a pinball burn party. It will be recorded, & a lot of drinking will take place at the event. Do not know if I will have any nasty hookers attend, but they stroll by the workshop. They may need to get some heat from a good fire since winter is here. It has been many years since my regular pinball machine burns, the locals miss those along with the police & fire guys.

Ah, John... you never disappoint! Burning a pin to keep the hookers warm is very charitable of you.

#1329 3 months ago

For those who think Punny Factory is a bad theme, I was building a pin about dolphins, but I couldn't find the right Flipper.

#1334 3 months ago
Quoted from TreyBo69:

Last I talked to him he had a falling out with John over a repair bill

I've been informed that D0n has won his credit card dispute and been awarded a chargeback. No mention from the card company that the game needs to be returned. I hope we'll still get to see this game take flight!

D0n is hoping for a 2000's rock pin, he wants his Nickelback

#1371 3 months ago

I guess Andrew should have sent him a new populated play field and paid to ship the bad one back. Would have saved him a lot of grief and $$$ in the end.

As for going to the supreme court, D0n slide his tape measure under the case and it was over-ruled

#1375 3 months ago
Quoted from Only_Pinball:

There is a job waiting for you at the Punny Factory

I tried to join the team as a decal trimmer, but I was cut.

#1381 3 months ago

In the case of D0n v. Punny Factory, on the matter of a credit card refund, we the jury find for the Plaintiff.

On the second matter of the Punny Factory theme being an insult to the pinball community and mankind as a whole, we find the Defense guilty of crimes against humanity.

Throw that fucker off the roof!

#1384 3 months ago

It was steamrolled for certain.

#1391 3 months ago
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:

Now that he's been vanquished, don has a window to lock down the public's approval.

He purchased a Punny Factory. Not sure he can ever overcome the stigma involved in that purchase.

#1397 3 months ago
Quoted from Mr68:

To be precise, he purchased two Punny Factory's

I don't even know what to say... and that is rare!

#1409 3 months ago
Quoted from Haymaker:

From what Don told me, that is incorrect. He had 2 ordered and andrew was going to send him a populated playfield via a 3rd game as I described above. Swapping a bad playfield into a second game really makes no sense as you'd still have one bad playfield game and one (presumably) good playfield game, so I believe Don here.

Ummm... 3 games and playfield swapping?? AHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA.

Fucking brilliant! Andrew had the perfect plan.

#1424 3 months ago
Quoted from Mr68:

My prediction. A friendly third party will quietly sell it for d0n, via a generic ad away from Pinside, and failing to mention any of the known issues.
See comment below.

D0n would probably see the add and buy his own machine.

#1426 3 months ago

He should donate it to the local prison, talk about true punishment!

#1429 3 months ago

Cops would walk away as you said "punny factory pinball"
