Quoted from dmacy:

Wire guide install. These are small and the clear is really rough so I went with a hand job countersink to get the hole large enough to not chip when drilling. Check the wire size, get a drill bit to match with a stop and drill only deep enough to get a few mm down. I want the tighter hole to still “bite” when fully seated.
Blow the holes out, add some of Ron’s glue and tap, tap, tap it in just deep enough before it comes through the bottom. A ball will be the best way to set these in my opinion.
One down; four to go! Right side is now completed.

Thanks for showing those photos. I am getting close to the point of installing the guides... and now it should be straight forward

Lol no problem. If there’s something you need, please reach out. I may do the same and if you or anyone else sees something not right, please let me know.

Were able to replace the moon shaped ball lock. I ordered the disc, but am not sure if it’s just a pin that needs to be removed from the stem? I saw yours looked like mine when you pulled..

Quoted from dmacy:

Ha! I lied! Missed one in the right. There’s 4 all there. Just one on the left. But they’re all installed now.[quoted image][quoted image]

Wanted to check, when drilling into the holes for wire guides..we are just opening a few mm’s for protecting the clear? The hole should be pre drilled deep enough that I don’t need go the entire length for the guide to fit. is that correct?

Quoted from dmacy:

Couple holes need drilled which was common in these earlier versions. One by steps ramp support that is 2.5” long. They dimpled but not drilled through. No big deal.
The other is for the left under apron light to pass the wires through. Took a picture showing the original.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Thank you for posting that. I redrilled that ramp support and then was worried it was a mistake. For that support post I ran into issue with the three holes so close underneath( ramp post and bam guide holes ) I can’t get bolts on.
Did you have any issues ?

Quoted from dmacy:

Plastics are on. I have to solder in the new optos for Rudy so they’re not on permanently yet. I tweaked a few star posts to add some color from the plain old clears but easily changed if Gerry wants down the road. Any rubber rings for these star posts are now Titan whites.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Looks great with the colored posts

I am curious the clear plastic that goes behind the trap door, it looks like the new one covers the Hinge on the playfield. Is that correct? The one on mine began after the hinge..

Looks amazing! Did you end up having any issues with the disc ball lock?

This has been a very informative and entertaining thread
