    What about a Play Field Protector? If you were here in Denver, I would have you come over and take a look at my games with PF protectors on. That would solve all of those concerns. The protector makes the PF look like it was clear coated. (I have one game with a clear coated play field) Does the game play different with a protector? In all honesty yes it does. It plays a bit faster and quieter. You will not have to worry about: chipping, dimpling, scratching, of the new pf. I have one game that the PF is completely cover with Mylar. It also looks very nice like the PF is under water. The only problem with that one is, if you want the Mylar off, you have to freeze it off and then clean all the glue from the PF surface. Lots of work!
