The Ozark Pinball Syndicate has launched! If you're within 1000 miles of Missouri (or even more), come check it out! Our first tournament is in July.

(no profit on the gear...we're in it for the love of the game!)

That's awesome! I live in Fort Smith, AR (about 200 miles) So if I can find some people to help me get there, I will definitely come up and in the tournament. I doubt I can go to PAPA this year and this would be a nice small trip for me.

    Hi Quacken,
This should be a pretty good way to get some IFPA points. Definitely follow us on Facebook for all the latest info.

Now...is there anyone else within spittin' distance of the Ozarks, or have a location where we might be able to get together? I'm planning to have an event at my house sometime, provided I can get 8-10 people out.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I'm very new to the Pinball Scene (I haven't even competed in a tournament) but what is the IFPA, and how do the points work?

IFPA is the International Flipper Pinball Association. http://www.ifpapinball.com/ it oversees scores and tournaments across the globe. It has a nifty point ranking system to show "its best players". its a neat site you should check it out.

That's cool to know. I think I'm going to skip this event, mainly because of the cost. I was adding it up and if I use the funds I was going to use to go to MO, I think I can save up JUST enough to go to PAPA this year, which I think would be a better use of the money. No offense.
