Can I ask why the classics finals are 1+4+top two from (i), rather than, say, 1+4+winner (i)+2nd place (ii), just to vary the groups? Yes, this might hold up one of the semifinal groups, but it reduces the amount that players are stuck together.

From the PAPA rules, Rule X.1.c:
c. On the game NBA Fastbreak using basketball-style scoring, each championship ring collected by the player shall cause their recorded score to be increased by 1000 points.
So it's not like INDISC is making up things of their own accord. Presumably PAPA hasn't used NBA FB in the A bank in a few years
