    2012 Temecula Pin-Golf
    Invitational

    If you are reading this, you are invited to the 2nd annual TPGI!
    One week before the So.Cal HW pin party.

    Date: Sat, October 27th, starting at 1pm. Practice: Noon to 1pm
    All groups must start their round no later than 1:30pm.

    18 Holes of Pin-Golf.
    Each hole(game) will have a target score posted. The # of balls it takes a player to reach the target score is the # of strokes the player will record for each hole(game). A maximum of 6 strokes per hole.

    This is an IFPA sanctioned event!

    Cost $15
    All players will have the option to purchase ‘Mulligans’ for $10.
    Players with current WPPR rankings of 150+ will receive 4
    'mulligans'. Players with current WPPR rankings of 149 and under will receive 2 'mulligans'.
    'Mulligans' must be purchased before a player finishes their 9th hole.

    Players will play in groups of 2-3, to help verify scores.

    Finals: The 4 lowest golf scores will play in a final match, consisting of 4 holes. Each player will pick one hole to play. Each player must pick a different hole. The lowest score after 4 holes is the winner! If there is a tie for the top spot, the 16th-18th holes will be played until a winning score is reached.

    Payouts: 1st : 45% of pot + Free Entry for HW pin tourney!
    2nd: 30%
    3rd: 15%
    4th: 10%
    5th-8th: T-shirts and other ‘goodies’!

    Some snacks provided, please feel free to bring whatever you would like to eat/drink, it will be a several hour event.

    Purchase mulligans....wtf.
    What is that all about? It isn't golf thats for sure, is this a regular thing with golf in the states?.

    Usually, with real golf(the op is talking about pinball "golf", BTW), if it's an amateur level charity event, they "sell" mulligans. It's a neat, easy way to bring in extra cash for their charity while helping the hackers feel better about their game.

    It's hard to hold a tournament for guys who either don't have a calculated handicap or usually score in the triple digits. This is why they do it.
