    Quoted from BMHouze:

Any chance Zingerman's has a food truck? Pandemic fueled delivery?
Saw them on You Gotta Eat Here.

Or come to Las Vegas earlier to the PHoF. In downtown, at the new Circa Resort is Saginaw's Deli. Named for Paul Saginaw, one of the two founders of Zingerman's. Similar menu, same or higher insane prices,, even some Zingerman's packaged items like the $4.00 candy bars etc.

    #60 2 years ago

Saginaw's uses Sy Ginsberg's corned beef and pastrami shipped in from Detroit if anyone cares.

Saginaw's sandwich pricing is higher than Zingerman's from two years ago. Not bad for Las Vegas in a tourist area.

Can we see the whole video?

    Lots of them on reddit....

Ironically, there are bee boxes on site.

And not far from where the pig defecated...

If you get fined at the border the $500.00, do you get to keep it? If so, it's just a tax.

    Quoted from boagman:

One game that I find to be terrifically 2-player oriented is Olympic Hockey...but Clay doesn't have one of those, and neither do I. One of the local guys has one that's basically pristine and that I covet deeply, especially for personal reasons, but he won't part with it at all. I understand and respect his reasons...but I still want it.

Played a brand new one waaaayyyy back at Pine Tree Bowl (The Polish Palace) in Dearborn, MI. Operated by Market Music Co. of Detroit.

    Quoted from boagman:

It was Donna's favorite game, and we enjoyed many, many sessions playing against each other on it. We'd play using hockey points for a more even match between us, and she was far more apt to beat me on that machine than just about any other. The memories are staggering for me. What's more? I actually like the play of the thing, by itself. It has character, and I find it to be quite individually amusing and challenging. It may not be the prettiest machine out there, but it has a *ton* of significance for me.
    How are things in Vegas?

All is well, we're settled in. Hopefully both Ballykid and I will see you at the show!

A developer has been rumored to have offered the VFW a deal that may not be refusable.. They asked permission to get soil samples to see how the land can be redeveloped for housing similar to what is going in to the East.

Then there's the games that, if similar to Banning, could fetch a pretty penny or three.
If this happens, 2021 might be the final year of the show....

    Quoted from Puffdanny:

Mudgies in Detroit uses Sy Ginsberg's too and I approve!!!

My best friend owned that Deli (he bought his meats from Sy Ginsberg as well) when it was named McNally's in the early '90's. He passed away suddenly in 1994, ending that run. He was a little younger than Greg Mudge who recently died.

    Quoted from Bax1:

so who's going tomorrow??? I'll be tailgating, stop by and say hi.

    I'll be there...

Thanks Bangerjay for wrecking the pull start assembly on one of our favorite mini-bikes. At least we have 38 others to use before we have to pop another engine in or replace the starter from the VFW parts department....

    Quoted from jj44114:

    Is this the last show?

    Quoted from nsduprr:

Bruce *MrBally* is talking out his ass.
Yes, there is residential development to the east.
Unfortunately what almost of these potential home owners don't know about is the ex-superfund site near by.
Do you own research. Public Knowledge.

To be clear, what I said was true. Fortunately for the pinball loving crowd, cfh refused the most recent offer on the property. Thus, as of today, October 3rd, 2021, the show will go on as stated on the vfwpinball.com site

Clay also discussed this in post 249 above.

    Quoted from yancy:

I hear they're in need of a pinball museum.

I highly recommend the West. Moreso for retirement though...

    Quoted from Lopa:

Wait what? Rob and Tom owned Eph McNallys until around 2017ish then lost the business to back taxes and that’s when Greg took over the cork town location.
Your friend owned it prior to Rob and Tom?

He bought it in 1990 or 91. He died in July of 1994 and it closed at that time. It was named McNally's when he owned it.

    Quoted from Lopa:

Build a bridge and get over it already, stop asking people to constantly have to justify their choices when it comes to public safety.
At some point this banter ruins things for event organizers, it’s exhausting and unnecessary. If you don’t like masks, don’t go.

I worked the recent VFW show (vaxxed & masked) and then attended the Pin-a-Go-Go show in Dixon (with three days of G2E in Las Vegas in between). PAGG required proof of vaccination and masks even though masks aren't required through California. It was a non-issue for me.

    Quoted from vdojaq:

Clay, you are right, friends do not treat each other like this, SO STOP! I am telling you, hand the bike off to JAY at EXPO, his welding & fabrication skills are 2nd to none. I have seen his work. I can assure you that Jay can and will strip this down, repair it, re-assemble and you will never know the difference.

That won't work as BERK banned Clay from eXpO. Now, if lionman picks it up, repairs it, powder coats it and returns it, that would work. It needs to be Tig welded, not Mig BTW.

    Quoted from MotorCityMatt:

The best thing you bought is the bidets, that's why the shitter is full.

Only one Septic system alarm during the 2021 showcase. Clay "stirred the shit" to reset the septic switches.

    #354 2 years ago
    Quoted from Pinballer73:

Why did Berk ban Clay from Expo?

Because Clay is friends with Mike.

    #359 2 years ago
    Quoted from bob_e:

Does that mean that every VFW member is banned?
What if you show up at the EXPO wearing a VFW T-shirt ??

Gravitar's admission denial not withstanding, I can't speak for VFW members. Why not wear your shirt if you are going? Make sure Rob, not Bridgett, sees it and see what happens. Ask him if Clay is making any presentations.

I know I will never give BERK any of my money after what he did to Mike. What a back stabber.....

    #365 2 years ago

No mention of Dunkin' Donuts dude sitting behind the building or the girl using the driveway as a notell motel room....
