Who knows what the border situation may be like.
May not be worth all the BS if I have to get a recent test to enter each country.
My wife is considering a trip to the DR. Need a test to leave, another there to leave. Plus there 'may' be 2 days quarantine.

Things may not be loose enough by then.

I am a little more concerned about the need to have a recent test to leave and another to re-enter.
Hopefully a day trip without an overnight stay will be a bit less intensive.

I have no problem with 'the wagon' for 2 weeks in the tropics (when Jamaica isn't cheap enough).

Border is currently closed to non essential travel until Aug 21.
Canadian spots may become available.

This event will be a good test of the hoops to go through to travel.
Hopefully I will be able to get my test for travel closer in the near future.

Sept 21 now. R.E. border closures to non essential. That' s within two weeks of showtime. I am having some serious doubts.

My brother is off to Jamaica in Sept.

I can't see the vaccine card rollout being done in time for the show.
My wife works at the municipal level, they are totally in the dark.
Doesn't look like anyone is ready to open the border yet.
There are some pretty crazy hoops to jump through if it does.
My wife occassionally gets calls from people trying to travel unsuccessfully. Wrong kind of test, time frame of test, if rapid is accepted at destination.
It's not looking good for the Canucks.
