Quoted from j_m_:if this is the last show, I'm waiting for his "free minibike with show admission" offer
actually, we (the club members) have all been waiting for this
I've got dibs on the Chonda 70.....
Quoted from douggalecawitz:where is anyone getting the idea that this is the last ann arbor pinball show?????
am i missing something????
I would carefully read the 2021 VFW show thread to better understand where these rumors are coming from. A 2022 show is pretty much certain at this point....
Quoted from vdojaq:I am LMFAO! Clay, I knew it would be a matter of minutes for you to comment on that whole situation! Just crazy!
Not crazy, we're in constant communication with each other.....
Quoted from yancy:Just look at it as the universe providing balance for all the free pinball machines people have dropped on your doorstep. You're still way in the black, lifetime.
Stern, JJP, CGC, Spooky and AP all with a cavalcade of free pinball machines for the VFW. Meanwhile, nobody will drop off a free Gay '90's, Travel Time or Darling/Jubilee....
Quoted from MrBally:The Chonda 70 is enroute my way. One less mini-bike at the VFW. It's a start..
It has made it here....

Time to ride the Chonda and the Honda side by side again. It's been a few years since they both were on the VFW trails together....
Screenshot_20220411-191912_Gallery (resized).jpgQuoted from pinwiztom:I wanna see you ride one into the pool,
beers in hand
Or at least drive a lap around the pool
Maybe the Chonda as the real Trail 70 CT70H is still in great condition.
The other 70 at the VFW was pulled from a lake and needed a bunch of stuff for Ballykid and Clay to get it running. That one might be a pool candidate. Gotta move it West next.....
Quoted from GrueLurks:I was hoping for an outhouse where taking a dump is actually allowed.
// responsible for the no dooky rule at the club
We used to have a Port-o-potty/ Johnny-on-the-spot brought in for the showcases when camping was popular.
Quoted from cfh:ADDITIONS TO THE 2022 VFW SHOW OCT 1 and OCT 2.
Parking lot vending/flea market.
If you would like to vend in the parking, this is free. Also patrons to the parking lot also attend free. Sell your pinball (or non-pinball) stuff. Electricity is available for some of the space too (again free.) Obviously if you want to go inside the building to play pinball, you would need a show ticket. There will be an outside port-a-pottie for the outside folks too.
Thursday tournament.
We are in the process of setting up a Thursday 10am to 5pm(?) "flipper frenzy" style tournament. why thursday? so we have time to get the games cleaned up for the show on Saturday. Stay tuned for details on this.
Will the custom Pen & Pencil vendor from Expo 2017 be in the flea market area?
Quoted from tmontana:Getting the games "tournament ready" for the Thursday Flip Frenzy. Reserve your spot now on the website.

Are those Mini-Bikes in those pictures?
Quoted from nsduprr:yea...but who mows the lawn???
I don't want to break rules and edit your post; don't you mean the fcuking lawn?
And trails?
Quoted from Puffdanny:Who's this Cliff guy? He already sounds way nicer than Clay.
The guy who sells playfield protectors.
Clay is relegated to furniture repair while Danny is rebuilding yet another Honda CT70H.
20221001_110810 (resized).jpg20221001_122533 (resized).jpgQuoted from nsduprr:humm... what did Danny do to piss Clay off ? Working in Deb's back room ?... right by the exit sign!
Nothing bad, Clay considered it a promotion, private work area. Besides he was in the pin shop (with the largest pinball parts department in the state, did I mention that) most of the time using the bench grinder, presses, power tools and sledge hammers.
Quoted from TheLaw:And the Speed limit lowered to 60...wtf.
Tell Danny I hit 112.
That's it? We hit 115 yesterday in our non-turbo VW Atlas rental boat.
Quoted from nsduprr:...excepting *certain* staff members, of course.
And, certain *former* staff members....
Quoted from cfh:Did anyone play Jungle Hunt? any comments or suggests? still working on the software, so ideas welcome.
Some of the callouts on it were hilarious....
