Clay, will you be having a show in the spring at all, or just the one show in the fall.

    #3 2 years ago

    Fantastic

    #4 2 years ago

I went to a homebrew club meeting one time at the VFW, and that was awesome. Any thoughts on doing that again? I really enjoyed the combination of beer and pinball, and have wanted to attend again if it was possible.

    Sweet!

    #7 2 years ago

    Looking forward to it already!

Still hoping they open up to new members at some point!

    #8 2 years ago

Oh sure what the heck count me in.

Nice! I'll be there (Assuming boarders are open and I can get back into Canada!)

    1 week later
    #18 2 years ago

Since this may be the last (hope not)
I am going to make every effort to attend for 2nd time.

    #19 2 years ago

if this is the last show, I'm waiting for his "free minibike with show admission" offer

actually, we (the club members) have all been waiting for this

    Any updates on ticket sales?

    #22 2 years ago

when the shows were in may, clay would typically open up sales in january. since the show is in october, I would think that they'll go on sale in may (5 months earlier) but take that as just a hunch

    #23 2 years ago

We are thinking June 1st for tickets...

    #24 2 years ago

Any rules for this show? I know some people that weren't able to go last year due to not having the shot.

    #25 2 years ago

We haven't made any decisions yet either way.

where is anyone getting the idea that this is the last ann arbor pinball show?????

    am i missing something????

    Quoted from douggalecawitz:

    No...internet rumors.

I would carefully read the 2021 VFW show thread to better understand where these rumors are coming from. A 2022 show is pretty much certain at this point....

    Quoted from douggalecawitz:

Some speculate that Clay does not like his (new) neighbors
    and might consider moving.
It isn't easy or cheap housing and maintaining 400+ games
and last 2 yrs did not help with that.
Clay might want to retire sometime, he ain't no spring chicken anymore.

all the above is pure speculation
I have no insight or real knowledge of the goings on at the VFW
    just my 3 cents
take it with a grain of salt.

Still hopeful that the VFW shows will go on forever.

I heard that Clay just has a new love.....mini bikes. he is changing the name of the club to vmbw = vintage mini bike world

I think jay and I broke some minibikes so there was some pissing and moaning.

    Shocker.

    #34 2 years ago

The Chonda 70 is enroute my way. One less mini-bike at the VFW. It's a start..

    #35 2 years ago

Cancer, what you did the any of the minibikes was *nothing* compared to what Bangboy did. For dicks sake, he broke a frame into two pieces. I mean he destroyed the thing. You got a ways to go to get to that point...

And Tom... we're at 500 games now... Largest pinball show in the *world* by game count (to my knowledge.) Texas for example, according to Pinball News, had about 320 games, as a comparison.

I am LMFAO! Clay, I knew it would be a matter of minutes for you to comment on that whole situation! Just crazy!

Just look at it as the universe providing balance for all the free pinball machines people have dropped on your doorstep. You're still way in the black, lifetime.

Stern, JJP, CGC, Spooky and AP all with a cavalcade of free pinball machines for the VFW. Meanwhile, nobody will drop off a free Gay '90's, Travel Time or Darling/Jubilee....

    #40 2 years ago

Yancy unfortunately nobody’s dropped any free Minibikes in my lap. At least no free minibikes that I actually like… oh damn wait, actually that may not be true…

coming summer of 2022 the vfw is getting another expansion. we are currently in the design phase of the following:
    - a 1 mile long looping subterranean "lazy" river
    - a 4500 sq. ft 2nd floor expansion above the marv and rat hole for future minibike expansion
    and last, but not least
    - a 1200 sq. ft two-level gazebo with a bar & grill area, adirondack chairs and 3 fire pits

Is the underground parking garage still in the works?

    Quoted from RCA1:

No parking garage, but there are plans for a free-standing drop tower ride.

I hear someone in Florida is selling one dirt cheap.
