Quoted from MK6PIN:

Actually, when I powered the machine off, it stayed up...
Swear I felt the coil buzzing underneath....need a repair break....ordered rebuild kit, as I'd already changed the sleeve and bushing, to no avail. Must be the mech sticking slightly.....

Checked for mushroomed plunger or loose coil stop end, that will do it too. I have a SW machine that I look after on site for a friend of mine. The flipper would occasionally get stuck up on that game. Turned out the nylon bush that activates the EOS switch had turned 90 degrees and was getting caught on the EOS blades of the switch. Took me a bit to work it out maybe check that too. Sounds like you are all over the rest of it.

Good luck

Interesting....is this nylon bushing at the flipper button switch? Could be my culprit.....

It took me a while to work it out too. This is the rectangular piece of nylon that activates the EOS switch. The piece needs to sit as per the photo. On the machine I look after, this piece had turned 90 degrees and was catching on the leaf of the EOS.

Well...did a flipper rebuild w new spring and bushing, etc. Works great......
I must have stared at the pieces that were replaced for 20 minutes, trying to decide what was the culprit....the only thing I can guess was a slight bind in the mech itself.....
Moral of this story...once you identify it's mechanical, just rebuild the entire thing, as time = $$$....lesson learned....thanks for the tips...cleaned the bats and changed the rubber to nice fresh Titan's.....time to play it a bit now......mark

Thanks for the update! Was the plunger a little mushroomed or the coil stop end loose?

Awesome machine is going again.
