I was looking through the September 2016 auction catalog for Treadway Galleries in Chicago. I came across the the following painting by Christian Marche:

Anyone know (or have an opinion) if this could be the pinball artist?

    Well, it IS "pointy".

He also did this nude, apparently:

It was done in 1975, so it'd be timed right for pinball Marche. I was trying to find a piece of pinball art he signed, but having no luck so far.

Very interesting ...well spotted. You probably saw there are 3 cubist nudes by the same artist in the sale. Certainly possible that the pinball Marche could have painted in this style. I wonder if the auction house has any information. I've Googled his name and can't find any other artists with that name apart from a modernist sculptor who welds together old bicycles.

    Those look cool

Didn't know I liked cubist art. Those paintings up for sale are very pleasing to my eye.

Has anyone got a link to a biography of Christian Marche? I can't find anything.

The painting behind him in the photo in the PDF looks similar to the other nudes. If I could just find a signature of his from his pinball work I think it'd be a certain match.

Stupid crazy-rich pinball collectors. $600 for the buildings, $1100 for the 3 foot tall nude.

These are all the pins he did the art on according to IPDB

Did anyone here buy any of the Christian Marche paintings in the Treadway auction? It looks like they sold well above the estimated range (which was pretty low).
