Newest member of the club. Does anyone know how to tell what the production number is, I don't see any serial numbers and it didn't come with any documents from the original buyer.

Ahh, thanks. I see you have number 001. All I knew is this pin was owned by Ed Robertson of BNL and has some spooky made custom plastic.

After many games I noticed a couple ball trapping areas. One in particular seemed to happen regularly, getting stuck on top of the scoop. My solution was to build a smaller scale main ghost and plant him on top of the scoop to deny that spot for the ball to hang. And he simply attaches to the screw near the lens cap. He is just over half scale. Still looking for other suitable 3d models of ghosts to print and add as mods.

I just got mine and I love it. Can't see it going anywhere fast. And as far as the Wonka effect goes, that one is just too damn cutesy for me. Far down the list of must have pins.

I just got my AMH and it is a blast, but i had my first repair last night. I noticed the far right stand up target for the ghost stopped registering hits. I was lucky it was a simple wire broke off at solder on the switch. This must be a common fix where the wire is constantly flexing from the target bank going up and down.

I am trying to order a set of pinblades right now. Takes the stock graphics to a new level.

I also made a door replacement (bars not installed yet) and glowing ghosts of any size.

Quoted from benheck:

In hindsight, too many servos.

Hindsight is 20-20.

Ben are you working on any new pin designs?

Have you ever noticed when your wife gets into a hobby, you get sucked into it also. I am too busy through the week to install them and now my weekends have turned into gardening and lately trying to ruin my back building rock walls. I would like to find time in the next month if all goes well.

I did put a new door on my AMH today, even added a little color, my old one was getting ratty.

That is bizarre. When I first got mine I had the double ball launch occasionally and a couple other bugs, but it has been solid ever since and the double ball launch seems to just went away?

I picked up the same set and they were pre-cut for the side LEDs, but the piece was still there. Maybe look closer to see the cut.

I been wondering the same thing. It happened to me several times and assumed it was a glitch/bug in the software. Not bloody likely to get any code update.

#1552 3 years ago

I never mentioned it before until I seen someone else had the same problem. But most others don't have the same problem so it can't be a software glitch. I generally try to not start minion multi ball if already in regular multi ball. I may have to try to run some switch tests and not sure what else to look for. Other than that, she appears to works normal.

Speaking of servos, my main ghost stop rotating today. I haven't played it in a while, so after a little playfield cleaning I gave it a play and no ghost rotate.
It still lights up but just doesn't rotate. Is it safe to say it is a servo problem?
I have escaped changing any servos yet so I must be due, but is there anything else I should check? The fuses in the head are ok.

#1596 3 years ago

Thanks for the advice Tim, off to Amazon to order servo stock.

#1598 3 years ago

Sound advice that will save some headaches. Thanks.

I was just playing AMH and it appears in mid game I lost all my solenoids. I checked the first fuse is blown and it calls for a 3A slow blow. I just checked and I don't have 3A in stock, would it be ok to use a 4A Slow Blow instead? Or would that be asking for bad things to happen.

No. Use what is calls for.

Noted, and got the right ones now. Back in business.

Go to the above link, download the STL files near the bottom of the page, and find a 3d printer for that door arm.

#1626 3 years ago

I made my last door out of PLA and it is standing up good.

Your scoop was broken, it appears to be mostly metal, could you not have just got it welded? A couple dabs of mig weld could have done the trick, but the new unit wasn't that bad a price anyways.

Here is some inspiration I found on YouTube.

Quoted from extraballingtmc:

Having a small issue. After playing for 30-45 minutes straight the flippers are starting to stick up as they heat up I guess. Quick few presses of the buttons drops them.
Any suggestions why this is happening and what to do about it? Txs guys

It might be time for a clean and rebuild. I had the flippers stick on some other pins, range from Opto switches to worn out parts or general cleaning. Time to lift the hood do some maintenance.

I have never looked to see total games played. It has been through a couple owners, so it is gonna be a bunch, but she is still in great shape, and plays very well. Had very little trouble with her over the years.
