Who is interested in helping me get the 3 drop bank mod completed for AMH. It will be printed in a glow in the dark material with a UV light source and a possible flasher also incorporated in it. This mod has been done for Tron already.

Although my game wont be here for another month or so I am very interested in adding this to my AMH.

They just posted a picture of #45 and #46 and a third (can't see number) on on a truck ready to be shipped.

#45 was finished on 4/15/15

They have slowed down production quite a bit this year as this is only 1.4 per week (if you take off a week for the holidays.) I thought they were at around 2 per week and expecting to ramp up to 3.

At this rate I won't receive mine (approx #75) until August (ordered in mid December) and #150 won't be done until around August 2016.

#103 8 years ago

i am towards the bottom of the list, and i can not think of anything better to get the couple of weeks before christmas than a NIB AMH!!!

TWilliams is going to help me with the glow in the dark drop bank. Thanks you.

Can you maybe do the same for some flipper toppers, I think that would look cool whether some artwork or just generic something?

To further it some "plastic protectors" for the slings and lanes as well, similar to ones I have seen used on Metallica and Tron a lot. Make it all glow!!!!

except that they are not at 3 per week. It's been half that. They have shipped around 20-25 games this year in 4 months. That's only 5-6 a month. I'm not putting them down, I just want more realistic expectations on timing and finishing by end of 2015 doesn't appear likely

Quoted from kbliznick:

they had less people working before. they've added at least one more full time assembler since then if not 2, and with KT working full time for the company that's more time for Charlie to focus on building. There was also the whole "predator" side project, and probably some time invested in scoregasm.

Played AMH at allentown and liked it a lot. Wasn't getting as much love as TH and TBL, but it's a cool game.

Likely did not get as much love because it is sold out and many dont care to play what they can not own.

It's not nearly as flashy, those games have better art, we don't have a giant LCD...

But yeah, who cares!

You got in during the Texas Rush, so realistically it's gonna be fall for your game.

I ordered on January 24th and I was told a couple days ago that about 25 are ahead of me.

#116 8 years ago

High score this morning, even with a house ball.

Massive multiball, only a couple ghost bosses.

Ordered in December was told 4-5 months. Time frame still seems close and regardless games are shipping. Happy spooky is taking time to do things right and happy for them for their success. Looking forward to its arrival.

A comment on build time and the "factory"

I ordered at Expo 10/17 and picked up my game at Spooky on 4/16, exactly 6 months or 24 weeks. There was around 40 to build in front of mine, and Charlie said they were doing 2 a week. Take some time out for the holidays, and I'd say they did pretty good.

When I was there, 3 were in the build row at various progress stages, 3 were in the test row (there's 2 rows of 4 workstations, 3 were in boxes. It looks like a well-oiled process. The other area is their one work desk in the corner, a receiving area, and parts neatly organized (mostly) along 2 walls.

#118 8 years ago
Quoted from JOESCHALL:

I ordered my AMH just over five months ago, so I'm expecting to hear from KT soon. This will be my first NIB. I did not play before I ordered, but I got hooked by reading the pinside threads and watching the videos posted here. For mods, I have already picked up the shooter road, topper, target decals, and boney flippers. Looking forward to installing them soon!

Where did you get the shooter rod and target decals?

#119 8 years ago

Shooter rod:

Target decals:

Still haven't gotten to test them out in my game though. Still waiting on that. Two weeks ago spooky let me know my game was about to be playtested, so I'm expecting to hear about shipping soon.

And good luck Joe! Hopefully you don't get a Monday machine!

#123 8 years ago
Quoted from JOESCHALL:

I heard from Spooky that they had my down payment (the standard half) exactly five months and one week ago. I wrote to KT last night for a status check, and she said that my game would be playtested in about a week, at which point she would send me an e-mail requesting shipping info. So presumably I'll have my game soon, and the time from which I sent my check (November 11th) to delivery looks like it will be about six months. I don't know yet if they actually arrange shipping for me or if I do that (I assume it costs about an extra $300), and I don't know if they wait for my final check to clear--they haven't requested it yet--before shipping or not. Any comments from anyone who has received a game on the final process might be helpful to all.
KT also noted that the production process had slowed over the last month or so due to Spooky attending shows. As she said: "Charlie won't let the minions ship a game without having him go over it personally before boxing it." I'd say that's a good thing.

Hey Joe,
I got mine 5 months 3 weeks. I ordered at Expo 10/17. Picked it up 4/16 but it was done 4/10. They are doing a steady 3 game/week pace now (it was 2 per week in January). I picked mine up, so no help on shipping costs. Charlie told me same thing KT said. MGC and TPF slowed things just a bit, but the production is like clockwork and seeing it person, I can tell you its a great set up and organized well, and the minions were all hard at work.

FYI, ring chart just added. I need to replace my blacks. White or Clear?
http://www.spookypinball.com/game-support/
Rubber sizes for AMH
4 – 2.5″ rubber
2 – 3/16″ ID rubber (small purple posts)
4 – 3/8″ OD rubber (small spike posts)
4 – 3/8″ ID rubber (star posts)
4 – post sleeves 1 1/16″
2 – Standard Flipper rubber

I'm going to get a mix of purple, green and blue from titanpinball.com
Matt has a great thing with those new material rings - I have used super bands and too much bounce.
I just redid all my white w/blue on Eight Ball Deluxe and these feel spot-on to original B/W rubber.

Did invisiglass too, with colored matching LED for the main ghost inserts up the middle + shoot again, Topper, and adding titanpinball rubber rings. Photos when the rings are installed will be coming.

Titan competitive lt blue rubber looks outstanding.

I also made a modification to the little metal ramp at the end of the shooter lane to hopefully eliminate ball hang ups at the basement. Mine hung off into the hole and the screw was catching the ball. Used the Dremel to cut off the corner as the ramp is plenty secure without the 4th screw.

20150508_225040.jpg20150508_225040.jpg

#129 8 years ago

I also did a fix at the top of the shooter lane. The ramp flap entrance should have that slight cutout in the PF, without it the screws aren't flush (see pic). My fix was a scrap piece from a pingraffix decal (sorry, I didn't take a pic after - pingraffic decals are heavy mylar with a topcoat to avoid scratch/wear and can be removed/reapplied). LOL... We should have taken the pick after installing the one screw we did re-use up there.

All - The hole you see had the screw used. It is the part right at the opening that was not re-used (where he cut the bracket). The hang up was mainly due to the screw. They had to screw it in at an angle to catch some wood as the hole is drilled to far to the side. After removing the screw it helped a lot but the bracket was handing over into the hole a bit which was causing a bridge to the back of the hole and also looked as though it would lead to messing balls up (very sharp). Cut it off and all works and looks perfect!

Here's our top 2 scores both from my son. 3ball default settings pitch 6.5.

I'm one of the lucky Australians getting one shipped over here. Had to grab one after playing it at the TPF. My 3 young girls will love this. TWD was a no way with it's graphics, but this machine is perfect in a family environment. Will most likely be some time in the new year, so will relax and be patient. Hope their next machine isn't too good - running out of room at home.

Yep can't wait, Aussie ones will hopefully be at Newcastle in November. Spooky are going to ship all 7 Aussie ones together.

#133 8 years ago

Sweet, was just told I am only about 10 machines away!! (mid December order)

#134 8 years ago

ICYMI - This is from Spooky's FBpage.

9 piece AMH plastic protector sets! Protect all those possible breakage areas with a high tech (not really) completely incredible (not even slightly) PLASTIC PROTECTOR SET!
Only $25... and we should have them on our website by May 13th, or just email [email protected] to get yours.

I gotta hand it to Charlie - I asked him on Monday to sell me a set of plastics so i could have another company make protectors, and he came back in a few hours with a newly designed set of protectors. Awesome.

#135 8 years ago

Ordered the plastic protectors tonight, and was told they would be added to my machine.

That's a ridiculous (impossible) score. How far did you get to the unseen wizard mode?

#138 8 years ago

Yeah, gotta spill the beans on your strategy. I've had a couple of long games on my friends AMH and the best we could muster up is a tad over 100 million. You must have found a scoring exploit or figured out a good way to rack up points. Due share

#139 8 years ago

There are a couple scoring bugs we've noticed. Sometimes you can get a 100m score in a short game and that's flat out impossible. I had a 230m game that took a while but my son said he noticed every jackpot was 3.5m to 5m... again... IMHO impossible.

I think our honest, unbugged high score is in the 130m range and that felt like I just went through a war.

#140 8 years ago

Some modes have the chance for more jackpot scoring than others, specifically Prison and Hotel.

In hotel, once you've saved your friend, each of the targets you light in front of the ghost increases the Jackpot multiplier. BUT it's harder to collect as you have to shoot hellavator to drop the targets to collect it in the ghost loop.

Prison requires you to clear the ghost targets 3 times to add 3 balls (up to a total of 4) You don't have to keep them all in play to beat the mode, but the jackpot scores X # of active balls when you hit ghost loop (so up to 4x!)

My goal was to allow "unlimited" scoring in almost any mode - as long as you keep a multiball active, you can keep scoring = based off your skill. This way you can "always do better"

Secret hint: War ghost typically takes 3 hits and then you beat him. BUT if you stack a Hellavator MB on that mode you can keep hitting the ghost for jackpots until you're down to 1 ball again.

#141 8 years ago

I believe it was the prison mode that caused the incredible score. Played that mode what seemed like forever. Just kept adding balls and had a 4 going for a very long time as the ball save is one for each ball added. Kept hitting the ghost -- jackpot, jackpot, jackpot.... super jackpot, super jackpot, etc. Game play was so fast I wasn't even looking at the score but it was climbing fast!

Also 2 extra balls awarded; video mode 3 times. Just a "whole-lotta" fun.

Just got to get the hang of Ghost Photo Hunt so I can add more to the bonus. For me it is hard to start as it will not start if other modes are running and that GLIR is reset after every ball. Most games I never have any value to the photos taken bonus.

#142 8 years ago

I don't remember getting any ball saves when a ball is added in prison mode. The only time I can add a ball is before the jackpot stage, when completing the ghost shield. Definitely no ball save there, because I immediately lose balls at this stage often. When are you adding balls and getting a ball save in prison mode?

#143 8 years ago

Okay, I got the word from KT that my game will be delivered on Memorial Day. I placed my order on November 11, so if you count the time from when I actually placed my order to delivery to my door it's six months and two weeks. I also paid the first half by check, so that could have slowed things down a little, and you factor in the holidays, spooky's time at shows, and the fact that they have increased their staff since November and I would think that the turnaround times now would likely be faster than mine. I bugged KT with e-mails once in a while during the process when I thought enough time had passed or when I had specific questions, and she always answered quickly.

A few tidbits that I picked up from communications with KT in case they hold true and are useful to others who have ordered:

- I offered to send the second-half payment as a gift via paypal, but she said that's a no-no, and that they have to pay the paypal fees as a registered LLC.
- KT said that the Chase credit card offers a direct easy pay option that goes directly to her bank.
- Spooky arranges shipping for you and ships the games UPS, which only picks up at their shop on Tuesday and Friday, then arrives at your shipping address two business days later (i.e., Thursday or Monday). For me, the game is shipping to Pennsylvania.

Of course, I can't speak for spooky about whether these details will be true for you as well, and I assume you could, say, arrange for a different shipper if you wanted to do that, but I just thought I'd throw these details out there in case they're useful to others who have been, like me, waiting and are eager for pretty much ANY details. Once my game arrives, I'll probably post something, including what number it is, but I'm hoping to spend the Memorial Day holiday setting it up and playing it first!

#144 8 years ago

Oh, and my shipping was $289.45.

#145 8 years ago

Chase quick pay, via bank account, works very well. most large banks use something similar and kt should be able to take it.

#146 8 years ago

Anyone know exactly what Spooky's facebook post today about upgraded ghostbusting color matched LEDs is about? I'm assuming an upgrade option essentially, but just wasn't sure if someone know more. My game is being built in the coming weeks and would like to upgrade if its an option so I don't have to dig into it myself. Thanks. -Tommy

#147 8 years ago

Its an upgrade kit being sold by PinballLife (I'm assuming), that Charlie mapped with various colors to get it just right, and Terry will be putting together and pricing soon?

#148 8 years ago

There's been a lot of requests for "pre-installed mods" and Chuck only recently has had the time to set them up.

Terry will sell this, but you can also pay to have it added on to your game if it hasn't been built yet.
