You guys are dreaming about $6,000 anything.

Fork out your $8,500 for the most empty pinball layout in history - and be glad about it.

Quoted from Eryeal:

I thought the common thought on MB was licensing problems - either not going to be able to secure a license for all the characters, or it would just be too expensive?

Since there are .99 cent Universal Monster facial tissue boxes for sale, I don't think obtaining a license for some 70 year old, B-grade characters is any problem at all.

PPS has already stated they secured the UM licenses on their site.

I've got both MM and AFM; and AFM is way more fun in the long run.

Both are well worth having.

Quoted from shlockdoc:

Why wouldn't BBB be the next title. It's rare, expensive and fun. There are plenty of AFM with repro playfields out there. There are 3450 AFM out there and maybe 200 BBB. That to me seems like a no brainer.

It could be that PPS does not actually own the rights to Capcom pinball.

They might have taken all of Gene's stuff, but the Capcom license may not have been transferable.

Cost to build in quantity 1K is $2300

Quoted from Aurich:

I begrudge no one their margin, but if you pad it too much on a mass produced commercial device I'm gonna pass. Doesn't seem that hard to me.

That's why I won't buy an iPhone.

The 6 only costs Apple $200.10 to make.

Quoted from SuperPinball:

I never understood that CGC/Stern relationship. Stern is a competitor.

When Stern moved into their larger building, they had room to do assembly for other companies.

Stern buys cabinets and playfields from CGC, so they already have a working relationship.

So yes, Stern is a competitor, but I'm sure they would rather get $208 from each MMr, than get nothing at all.

Quoted from Rarehero:

Are Chicago Gaming and Churchill the same company?

Yes, divisions of the same.

Quoted from Rarehero:

I agree with movie remakes, they're all fucking terrible....

No way.

I just saw Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978 and it's superior in every way.

I love the original, but 1978 is the ship.

Quoted from Eryeal:

If that markup gets to you, I hope you just run around naked because the cost of the clothes you are wearing to make compared to what you paid will blow your mind.

I usually get my shirts, pants and suits made in HK.

I"m a big guy that's hard to fit, and nobody does better tailoring than HK.
